I just checked the Ram's Head website and there is still only Scott Weiland solo listed with no one opening.
Isn't that unusual, especially this close to the concert? So....the website says doors at 7 and showtime at 8....I can't picture him playing at 8 p.m.

Have you heard he is getting married for the third time?
He is marrying the photographer of his Christmas album (last yr.)

I might consider seeing him some time... As long as he's not singing Xmas songs

This is a greatest hits show. I know he's playing Velvet Revolver stuff, not sure if he's playing STP but he probably is...somebody wrote on his facebook about upcoming shows to be prepared to wait 2-3 hours for him to show up.

Meh... Forget it... I can't stand waiting that long for someone like that...

I know. I already have tix and I hope it isn't true.

  • I bought a ticket for him solo around this time last year, the show was cancelled about a week after tix went on sale, no reason was given. I think last year it was all Christmas songs he was going to do.

I'm not sure if he will do Christmas stuff but he will for sure do other solo/vr/stp, even if he does Christmas stuff. As for being late well...I'd say since he's only doing 5 shows he'll probably be on time but with Weiland you never know. I saw STP two times early during their tour last year and they were on stage just 10-15 minutes after their scheduled start. Saw them towards the middle/later part twice in Texas and both shows they were on 45 minutes late. Saw them at their last U.S. show last year and they were 2 hours late (Weiland said it was due to lost luggage. I try to defend him but he was definitely out of it that night.) I'd go, at the very least it will be an interesting experience and more than likely he will show up on time and put on a great show. But do not go if you are only expecting Plush and Interstate. Aside from Vasoline most of the STP songs he plays are deep cuts, Atlanta, Tumble In The Rough, etc.

Here's his set list from the first show of his tour tonight, no Christmas stuff.
    Opening Jam
    Crackerman (Old Version)
    Paralysis
    Killing me sweetly
    Black Again
    Mockingbird girl
    First Kiss On Mars
    Do it for the kids
    California/Mountain
    Art School Girl
    Can't Stand me now
    Lounge Fly
    Unglued
    Vasoline
