and apparently my question is misleading. according to an NFL stat site, 7 players have all ran, passed, and threw for a TD pass in a single game. I was only thinking of 2 of the 7. I don't expect anyone to answer without looking it up.

So name me any 2 and you got it.

Yes, the 2 I was thinking of were non-QB's. (hint: one of them is a Hall of Fame running back from the 80's.)

Yes. He is one of them.

    3) Walter Payton, Chicago Bears - threw a 54 yard TD pass, ran for a 2 yard TD, and caught a 2 yard TD pass in the Bears 30-27 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on October 21, 1979.

true. and yes, the patriots were the team I was thinking of. To give another hint, the second player I was thinking of who accomplished this has the same name as a famous Army general.

Hester? Other than that I'm stumped. I would have bet good money on Sanders and Woodson so I'm glad this was not a bet.

Woodson is third on the list. I was pretty close. I'm actually impressed with myself and patting myself on the back as I type this.

I still would have lost a good amount of money on a bet.
