Who are these guys?

For several years I recorded a ton of music off late night shows. One clip is from (I believe) 2001. Maybe Letterman or SNL. Unfortunately this clip was accidentally taped over for all but the last thirty seconds or so and I never go the name of the band.

Here's as much as I can give in way of description- hoping someone here can tell me who these wild dudes are:

The music itself is very much head banging stuff- heavy riffs, razor-blade-in-the-throat singing.

The band is dressed mostly in black jump suits. Looking left to right from the audience they look like this:

On the far left is guy who is dancing- possibly a back up singer. He's wearing a full head mask with a long snout like thing that waves around as he moves.

Back far left is the bass player with a red bass guitar, possibly full-head mask

Back left is a keyboard player with a full-head mask that has silver spikes coming out of it all around.

The lead guitar player appears to have a full mask- that's all I can see.

The drummer has white face paint and uses white tipped, black drum sticks.

The lead singer has a full-head mask with what looks like dreads sticking out of it (but these might be part of the mask) He's wearing a black jump suit with a round patch on one sleeve and what looks like a goat emblem on the front pocket. He seems to be singing "fight fight fight" or something like that.

The other guitar player has a silver mask and very long black hair.

Back right is the guy scratching on one turn table, the other turntable spins with a skull on it. His full-head mask appears to also have goggles.

On the far right is another dancer (possibly also a backup singer).

That's all I've got. I would have a hard time listening to this stuff for very long but the stage act is great. Everybody is bent over, thrashing, moving great, lots of energy.

I'd love to know who they are and see if I can find the whole song on Youtube.

Thanks in advance!

Excellent! Looking at your signature clip somehow reminded me of these guys and inspired me to dig out the tape and find the clip to get the description off of it. Mystery solved at long last. :D

In college I started a series of articles called "bands on the horizon" for the paper and I got to interview Shawn (the Clown) and a bunch of other guys from Slipknot. Really nice fellas. Insanity on stage, cool as cucumbers hanging out on the tour bus...

    Found this here:

Interviewer: Can you explain to me about the band.

Corey Taylor: Absolutely. We started in '95, nine people trapped in a very repressive place with no outlets, no life, and we turned all this aggression into beautiful sick noise. So Slipknot is basically the sound in every kids head that has had enough and can't take it any more.

I can picture that. Well said.

Yeah... No offense to Des Moines... but, it's not the most interesting place on the map.
