I was blown away by Back and Forth (Foo Fighters). Actually got back into them after watching it (because my buddy raved about it). Then went on a huge Foo Fighters kick, loved Wasting Light.

Malfunkshun: The Andy Wood story was very moving. I watched it before I saw PJ20, really helped me understand just how intertwined the community was.

7 Worlds Collide was just loads of fun and good music  Especially loved Ed's performances with Betchadupa, Liam Finn's band when he was a wee thing.

Thanks, Suziemay. I haven't seen these. Malfunkshun sounds like a must-see!

I really enjoyed Shut Up and Play the Hits. It's the documentary about the end of LCD Soundsystem. The film is great and bluray also has 2 additional discs with the entire final concert on them. You can check out the trailer here: http://www.shutupandplaythehits.com/

I almost forgot.... Fugazi's 'Instrument' is a really good one too!
    Love this!

And RHCP, Funky Monks is incredible.
Mason Jennings also has a really great dvd.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

Just watched Gorman Bechard's "Color Me Obsessed, a Film About the Replacement". I'd heard that this film had no music, not even Replacements, not band shots (except for a few brief images at the very end of the film) no interviews with surviving band members and no live footage of the band. This is a first for a rock doc and Bechard has pulled it off splendidly! The footage relies completely on footage of fans, musicians and others in the music world. Highly recommended for 'Mats fans!
