My NJ2 Experience (long)

So we get to the venue really early to get a wrist band to wait at the box office. Guy tells us to come back around 6PM. I get back there and the guy tells us all to line up in our numbers according to our wrist band. There was a guy, the first guy, that was camping out since 8AM. He had to keep running to the bathroom since he drank like 2 liters of Coke (guards were nice about him leaving the line though). My dad comes over and meets me at the show, and gives me a heads up that if I don't get anything he had 2 singles up in the 200s. The scalper guy with the hat and glasses was walking around the whole time selling stuff. There was a girl who went up to him and yelled at him and then he brought over 4 people that he sold face value to. But then he came up to a guy infront of me and said I'll sell you 2 seats in the lower level for 200$, yeah your not a fuckin scalper right? So I wait there until about 820PM and nothing got released so we just left and used the crappy singles we got. Little did I know I was in section 214 row 6, the section in the upper level right next to Mike, pretty decent seats for the 200s. On the way I met Eli (stickboy), known him for a while, really awesome guy.

I sit at my seat and I was hoping that no one would be sitting down and suck like at NJ1 in the 200s. So the guy on my left turns to me and asks me what I think they are going to open with. Then we got into a good PJ conversation. I think we were both happy that we had a "hardcore" pearl jam fan next to us being in the upper deck. We both went fucking nuts for every fuckin song because we felt the energy from the whole arena. There were these 2 guys infront of us who only knew Ten and some Vs., and they were rocking out to every song, which was really awesome to see those guys having such a good time....they turned around after Porch and said HOLY SHIT THIS IS FUCKIN AMAZING!!!

Ok so song by song recap :)

Severed Hand - I love the way they open with this, it's a great opener. The crowd erupted when the "YEAH!" part came, which was great to see people into the new songs.

Corduroy - Cheers started that hurt my ears!! Clapping everywhere, solid song. By the end of this song I realized how fuckin great the crowd would be and how great the show would be.

WWS - not my favorite live song but it rocked when people kept pumping their fist

Hail Hail - Kept the intensity up for the show, at this point the guy to my right just got into the show, he kept leaving for like 7 songs at a time, weird.

Animal - When it first started people did the hand thing but then it felt weird and most of the crowd just stopped, and then the band realized something was wrong so they just stopped. Then the power in the whole place went. Ed was sitting there smoking a cigarette looking PISSED. Then finally after 5 minutes the mic was working and he said "Can you hear me now?", I think the crowd should have yelled out GOOD! Ha, but then it started again and people went nuts, we got our usual singing part

Love Boat Captain - I think this was a mistake. I love the song to death, I really do, but you can't play that after all these fast song. Anyway, good version people were into it.

In Hiding - Stone's guitar was so low I don't think anyone could understand it for a few seconds and then we all put it together and went fuckin nuts!!! At the end for the IM IN HIDING part, it was amazing to hear most of the crowd know the song and scream it. You couldn't hear Ed.

Even Flow - Normal shit :D Everyone was into it.

I Am Mine - Big sing a long which was really nice to hear

Whipping - ARE YOU FUCKIN SERIOUS?!?!?! :D Are you cereal? Holy shit, everyone was dancing and throwing their hands up, omg, this is was one of the last songs I would think I would get to hear. The best was when everyone yelled DONT NEED TO PUSH! WHEN IM BEING SHOVED!!!! :)

Gone - Everyone loved this song, thats the end of that.

Comatose - Everyone on the floor and the 100s near the stage went fucking NUTS. I went apeshit too but to see everyones fist pump and hear everyone scream the lyrics...FUCK YEAH

State Of Love And Trust - No one could make it out because at this time Mikes guitar was low and then when Stone came it everyone got it. FUCKIN CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! AYO AYO AYO AYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Rats - wait what? do you see that song there on the left before the hyphen? HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK! Such a great sing along ….then everyone yelling SHIT during the song…haha

Garden – everyone was so happy to hear this song

Inside Job – fan favorite I think, the guy to my left was pissing his pants because he wanted to hear it so bad…I don’t understand why the people don’t like the lasers, they looked great

Porch – GREATEST VERSION EVER!!!!!!! That is all I am going to say

Army Reserve – Ed talked about yesterday being WM3 World Awareness day, I think the song kind of got most of the people mellowed out

Hard To Imagine – was a huge fuckin surprise

Last Kiss – Ed did his normal turn to the people in the back and sing to them….crowd was loud as hell
Black – probably the biggest highlight of the show….we sang about 60% of the song…it was soooo loud and intense, was great

Crazy Mary – I hate the song but they did a good job….Boom was going fuckin nuts!!!!!!!

Last Exit – got a lot of people jumping, good way to end it

Wasted Reprise/Life Wasted – WOW, again it was great to see so many people into a new song

Lukin – I think I was the only one who actually knew the verse words but when the chorus part came up everyone yelled IM GOIN TO LUKINS…haha lukin is so great…but what the fuck? Wheres NFY???? Or even Grievance, oh well

Leash - =D I saw some people getting tired of the song already which is hilarious cuz that is exactly what the band is trying to do….it was great!!

Don’t Gimmie No Lip – Stone started by thanking Ed for everything which was cool to see Ed all embarrassed because Ed always talks about the rest of the band and then finally we got to thank Ed

Why Go – EVERYONE I FUCKIN MEAN EVERYONE WAS JUMPING UP AND DOWN….HOLY FUCKIN SHIT….INTENSE AS FUCCCCCCCCCK…I cant stop saying FUCK

Leaving Here – OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH YEAH ;)

Alive – Again, everyone was into it….the YEAHS went on for the whole song

Yellow Ledbetter – ummmm yeahhhh, I liked the way they ended it with Indifference better in NJ1 but it was cool…I walked down to get closer and then ran for the car

Overall….AMAZING night…..one of the best shows ever, deffinantly rivals the MSG shows from 2003

did anyone else see Ed fall flat on his face near the end of Alive. He was mouthing "I want to go home" , to I presume maybe Jill or somebody on the crew. He then turned around to go back to the stage and tripped on a bar that was set up on Stone's side. he almost fell into Stone's guitar but pulled off some crazy jump and fell right into the speakers on Stone's side.

Great show! Stone was really having a good time with the crowd right in front of him.

I was in the 4th row far right Stones side. Ed was right in front of us , I thought he mouthed "I'm going home" and went down behind Stones speakers and stayed there for a while.
    What a great show.
We had a fun ride home, myself, Stickboy and GeorgeinNY.
Pearl Jam shows are so much more than just Great Music. It's so great to see old and new friends. When the lights come up I love to watch the crowd going NUTS

    all were amazing shows though
Thanks for the fanview! I thoroughly enjoyed both nights in Jersey! My only question is how does Philly '05 rank so low on your top 10?!?!?

because my seats sucked badly....2nd to last row 5 sections away from the stage....and 2nd to last row in that place is horrible because it is so steep....so I didn't feel like I was part of the crowd, if you know what I mean

Uniondale the same thing, I had nosebleeds (my first show) and it fuckin rocked but I just don't remember the experience

Nothingman...yeah I saw that sign, you were up way close then man!!
