Even if I'm quiet

You know me!
I'm still looking forward to seeing Beauty
I'm trying to be patient
and peaceful
all while the crazy circus is in town
and the clowns are into mischief
and the noisy, tarty, advertisers are shouting!
I decided it was better to sit apart rather
than get involved in the ruckus
but
you know me, on any day
I've still got my eyes on beautiful mornings
uncommonly warm afternoons
cricket full starry nights
and joyful, fluttering, wings
