Crowd in the 2008 bootlegs

I just heard Not For You from VA Beach and theres absolutely NO crowd noise in the track, and it was flipping ridiculous at the show....do all the 2008 bootlegs have minimum crowd noise on the tracks?? This was the only track that i've heard from the official 08 boots

    the crowd sings the final chorus on Evenflow at MSG 1 and you hear them fine.

    but that crowd was off the hook.

    i think most official boots are like this with less crowd noise. Grab the "unofficial" MSG2 boot that was floating around if you can. EXCELLENT crowd noise IMO...i cant get enough of it

    Once in a while you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

    i got that...im listening to it right now actually...I LOVE IT way more than an official bootleg, i just wish there was an MSG1 version of it floating around

    But my favorite tracks because of the crowd for MSG2 are
    Release, Garden, Marker, Even Flow, STATE OF LOVE AND TRUST, DTE, Go, WMA!!...ahhh its all good

    I've heard about 4 boots and the crowd is only really audible between songs. Sounds like they're playing in an empty warehouse with only half the instruments plugged into the amps. No real atmosphere. Anyways, I'm not an audio geek and music is subjective, etc. but the quality of the recording or mixing on these is just terrible to my ears. The guitars seem to come in and out on any heavy, fast song.
    2003 - Champaign (first show), Chicago, Uniondale, MSG II, State College, Alpine Valley; 2004 - Toledo, Grand Rapids; 2005 - Kitchener, London.

    I'm listening to msg1 right now, the crowd noise seems a bit muted.... I hate to complain but this is fucking piss poor mixing... the guitar work is disgusting and whoever mixed it makes the crowd come in loud only when they sing part of the song, which is fucking stupid.

    Release is SO GOOD!!!! I listen to track 1 (just the opening PJ coming ot the stage music) and release over and over again. LOVE IT

    I agree... it's really sad... it's almost like someone just took protools and clipped out or muted down the levels or frequency of the crowd (for when the crowd isn't participating in the song itself).

    Then of course the encore break sounds pretty normal.

    In between songs I mean you can hear the crowd, but when they're cued to start singing along during a song its really hard to hear. Thats actually the part of the bootlegs that I really love. I don't know, I'm tired of complaining about this. They are what they are. It just sucks they couldn't capture the crowd in any of the ones I've heard when they sounded awesome two years ago.

    I dunno what happened to basecamp, those bootlegs were stellar, I'm glad to be able to get these shows, but I'll only be buying the shows I went to and trading/downloading the rest.
