Much praise to our soldiers and veterans. I am sure many of us here on the AMT have family and/or friends who have worn or are wearing the uniform.

Let's also ask actors/actresses, professional athletes, hedge fund CEOs, banking CEOs, reality TV "stars", cable news con-men/women, and the like to pay a little more in taxes so we can strengthen the post 9/11 GI Bill, invest in infrastructure which would mean jobs for some veterans, strengthen healthcare for veterans and their families, and simply put, let's build a stronger country for these soldiers to come home to.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

Yes - thanks to those who are serving, and who have served.

Thank you, dad, for fighting the good fight - over there as a young man, and here, at the end of your fine life.

They have been forgotten. "Celebrities" and Donald Trump's Twitter account are more important.

I am ashamed of our country for not taking better care of those who serve and protect.
I've lost some friends who are vets and I don't mean they passed.
