The election is over and it's time to get down to brass tacks... bit first...
it's Friday so for now, my advice: hit the lounge car, have a good week end!

Obama nor Romney, dont represent the 99 percent. they are the 1 percent. that should be crystal clear.
The real issues of the day-getting millions back to work, ending the wars, ending torture, demanding sane environmental policies, wont be addressed by Obama or the major parties. They never have and never will. The poor, and those of color, women, children, are always left out in the cold.
The real work, is becoming an activist in your community, the day AFTER the election and fighting on, demanding the same ideals, ethics and morality that one would have demanded of Romney, and what we demanded of Bush.
I think too often, people think voting is their real power. It isnt. Pulling a lever every 4 years isnt the answer.
Good point, my bad, I'll edit.

i was a vocal supporter of obama round the workplace and the personal circles i exist in. most of my more intense conversations ended with this refrain. my opinion is simple, regardless if mitt won, my own & family's livelihood would not be dictated, shaped, reinforced or dissuaded by the election. naive? you could argue yes.
my point (w/likelihood as being thrashed as righteous or simple) is, regardless of your anger or elation over the election, we each have a choice to make; cast blame, make excuses or falsely believe this administration will make your live peachy over the next 4 years.
would love to see all everyone here use their own personal will to make their lives better regardless of whom is president of the usa.
great post imo brian!

Me too, RFTC, but it was criticized- and rightly so I think- because, before I edited it, it included a link to information about the Fukushima reactor. This is a highly critical and serious article about the situation in Japan which is hard to even think about as I write this. But Friday, the end of a long week for all of us, was bad timing. It's a crucial article that includes information on taking action. I'll re-post this article on Monday.

I don't know why anybody listens to me im an ass, it really was a long week, just got hit with Sandy, Election, Noreaster and busy at work, but this is scary, i live a few miles away from Indian Point the Nuclear Power Plant in the Hudson Valley, it's always in the back of our mind but is greatly benefical to us. How ever if it was in the state like this one in Japan, not only would i want to know, but it would be time to relocate. Hopefully they have gotten things somewhat under control. Luckly i live West of it and the wind blows East.
I'm very wary of nuclear power plants, Binaural. I was living in western NY state when Three Mile Island occurred and I drove all night down to PA to pick my grandmother up and take her away until things cooled off. She wanted to see some people before we left so I ended up spending more time there than I wanted to.
The really serious thing about Fukushima is that it sounds like a worst-case scenario, (which may not be at all far-fetched) would affect much more than just Japan. A worst-case scenario could release as much as 85 times the levels of cesium-137 as was released by Chernobyl. It's a situation that seriously needs attention.
Now I seriously need to go to work and get my mind off this issue for a while.
