The End the Beginning

There's no back to go to anymore

always will be last what you said
what you wrote
the whole containment
the whole surrounding the whole swell
the whole it doesn't matter when it was somehow

even in all this dreaming, I know that I touched pink grass and rode horses to castles dreamt of princes with waters that were lit while climbing trees to ever-scaling fences with wind and children and fearless

And I know I tasted cherries
And I know I laid on real clouds

I ran in my own backyard feeling protected and embraced
nothing ever mattered
because there was nothing else except
great tides and all bounty
and I was yours somehow

all along it didn't matter if you were aware or not
all along it didn't matter who made you come to me
all along I just was

and when you do that
always will be
