I have never met any of the band members, until Las Vegas night 1. I didn't meet Eddie, but I just jumped into a cab with a my sister and she starts to tap me on the leg, "THERE'S BOOM!!!" I said "STOP THE CAB!!" and got out and ran. Boom had been just standing outside by himself, no security or anything. He then started working his way back into the casino. I sprinted after him and asked if I could get a photo with him. He was SUPER NICE and we spoke briefly. With the 2-3 minutes we hung out, it was just a moment to think, this dude plays infront of 50,000 people all the time and yet he is super cool to hang with me for a few minutes. That is what I love about this band, just guys that like to jam! Thanks Boom!! Hope to meet some of the other guys someday.

I met him after the Albuquerque show. He came out and hugged everyone. Before soundcheck in El Paso it sounds like he signed and hung out for 20 minutes.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

No, but I met him before his 2008 show in Milwaukee. He was walking from his bus into the Riverside Theatre. I shook his hand and we was totally cool. "Gotta go to work fellas," is what he told us as he walked in to a side door. Good stuff and that show was awesome. This was about 30 minutes prior to show time.

Usually takes a while...about 1 1/2 hours after the show was the earliest I've witnessed I think. This was in Europe though, not sure if it's different in the US.

It's well worth the wait though. ;)
  • Met Ed after the second Austin show.

Show ended around 11:15 or so. He left the building around 1:30-2:00 (can't remember exactly). Everyone got in a single line and Ed just went down the line and spoke briefly with each person (some longer than others if they had something interesting to tell him or a story to share). When Ed got to me, I just shook his hand and said "thanks for the music" and he looked at me and said "oh yeah, I know you." I was caught off guard (this is the first time I've ever met him) and I asked "you know me?" and he says "yeah yeah" laughed and went on to the next person! :) Not sure who he was confusing me with!

Yes, I met him, too that night. It was such an amazing experience. :D

So sounds like post-show is when to see 'im. Hubby & I are headed to Memphis from central IL & we weren't sure if we should get there early to try to spot Ed before or after soundcheck. Regardless, I think we'll get there early & stay late & see what happens! I've never even tried to catch a glimpse of band members before & I told hubby that I'll probably pass out if I do (he said he'd catch me--what a sweetie!). I cannot wait!! First solo EV show for us!!!!
Once you hold the hand of love, it's all surmountable.

We were able to meet Ed in St. Louis before the show. He came to the venue about 3 pm and shook hands with some of us (there was a large crowd). After the show, there were even more people so he just came out and said thanks for coming but didn't shake hands (likely due to too many people). It was about 1:30-2 hours past the show ending when he came out.
It's nice to be nice to the nice.

I met Eddie after London I, he shook hands, hugged and exchanged words with everyone, about 30 of us... two hours of waiting more than paid off haha. He came out after London II as well, but to apologise for not having the time to speak with everyone again, as he had an early flight or something.
