They may move productions but at least the public spoke there about the way they feel.

A theme is always appericated as well.
So you not only watch porn...you want porn with a theme...then you'll be demanding acting in porn .
But seriously I am quite surprised that wasn't a requirement of state law...

There's a Family Guy one and the actors have Peter and Louise's voice done pat!
hey i found a trailer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPW2ODorU98
Thats awesome!
we only have to wear them to work, once at work, we can pull them off and go at it like monkeys
I voted against the measure based on that, as well as the fact that we don't need yet MORE productions leaving this state.
awesome

I could go on about this topic for hours.
I won't bore you so I'll point-form it.
1) The straight industry tried making porn with condoms. It failed. The viewers didn't want it. If this law comes into effect (still up in the air), the straight industry will either defy it (there isn't much of a penalty) or move production out of LA county. If they're even in LA county anymore. Most of the big companies are shooting in either the OC or Inland Empire now. Thanks to the housing boom, there's a LOT of empty houses and cheap rental property to shoot in.
2) The gay industry (in which I personally work) is divided into two camps... the condom studios and the bareback studios (gay men call having sex without condoms "bareback"). The practice of barebacking is a very contentious issue among gay men. Some see it as a dangerous, reckless and horrible activity. Some say it's about freedom and personal choice.
3) The only gay studios that make bareback porn in America are located in Las Vegas, Palm Springs, San Francisco and New York. Nobody in the gay industry makes bareback porn in LA. The studio I work for makes condom porn ONLY.. And refuses to work with men who have made bareback scenes. And our productions are mostly in San Francisco or Palm Springs. So this law doesn't really affect me in any way at all.
4) NOBODY tells me how to fuck. Many have tried. All have failed.
Personally, or professionally?
I heard something today about dental dams, latex gloves and other items being on this measure too. Seems overboard.
(oh, and your first line reminded me of Dirty Dancing )
I don't fuck professionally. I'm a director, not a performer.
I've performed in 5 scenes but that was a couple years ago and I was... well, that time a member here called me the "CS" word... that wasn't inaccurate.
But jeez...a professional fucker? I could apply that term to some I know...
Sorry. I don't know it. It must be bad if you won't post it.
And again I'm not trying to be a wiseass.
