The election was a waste of time and money

All that money and time spent that could have been used to feed the hungry and help the unfortunate around the world and we wake up this morning and nothing has changed. What a waste!
PS - The electoral college system has become a detriment to our political process these days as well.

It was more disappointing then I thought it would be ...
Electoral college...

I needed a fresher on it
I'd like to see it go away now...
every state, every person, every voice, every vote should matter,
I guess Florida just fell off the map :wtf:
Ah, you do know he "won" the popular vote by over 1 million right? Every vote, every voice, every state spoke yesterday. They chose "another 4 years" then Willard. Here's a concept, get rid of the electoral college system and make it POPULAR vote "wins". How simple is that, yet seem so so hard? And Obama would've "still" won the election.
I think all that money spent was a waste especially on Romney 4 more years was the right choice.. It was Romney's election to lose though especially with the economy doing so bad.

we don't know the votes in FL yet at least not last I checked
Yes I am in favor of a popular vote system
and now we will see if our President's administration can do much better in this four...
one would hope the pressure is on but I somehow doubt that.
this is a sad day indeed.
He did win the popular vote, but that still doesn't change my mind about the electoral college. It is hampering our political process at this point. My state overwhelmingly voted for one candidate so it makes me feel like my vote didn't count.

When you want cattle, you take the cattle.
When you want food, you take the food.
When you want a woman...
you just take the woman.
Why don't you just take her?
tell me when the president had to be successful to be elected? futhermore.. I don't think Obama was unsuccessful anyway.

That's benevolent dictator, right?
Fixed
This is the problem with elections. Nobody like Congress or the government, but it's always the other guy in that other township or state...never "my guy/girl". So we keep doing the same thing and expect different results.
no
Ok. I mean, yes sir!
I don't think getting rid of the electoral college would fix any problems. it would just mean that the politicians would just cater to the largest population.
The biggest issue I see is how out of 50 states only 7 were swing states. I think every state should be a swing state but that is not happening any time soon.
Fife...I totally agree with what your saying...I also think they have way bigger problems with the election system.
I was listening to call in talk show and people were calling in about all the problems they had trying to vote...and this was both sides...hard to believe.

Ok...then I think we should appoint Will. He's the sanest and most mature. Seriously

seriously
yes, it's obnoxious that $2 billion was spent but it wasn't like it was put in a pile and lit on fire
it just seems that way
They didn't get applications recorded in time so people were not on the list
and had to fill out forms before they could vote. Long long lines.
The news showed workers in a warehouse of boxes trying to figure it all out
sorting through papers into the wee hours of the morning. :wtf:
I don't get it in 2012...
