OK, seriously. I'm probably humoring myself with this, but I was just reminded of this gem. Please tell me I'm not the only person who watched the worst soap opera of all time? This soap opera was cancelled, that's how bad it was! There was Tabitha, the witch, clowns, shirtless cops, the orangutan nurse (precious), the rich guy named Allistair, Whitney, who married her brother (aka, the black power ranger!), Luis, (the dumb cop), Sheridan, ("My BABY!!!!!!) who was kidnapped by Beth, the psycho baby stealer dressed as a clown, because she was in love with Luis and wanted his baby, Fox, also shirtless, and let's not forget the golden catfights between Gwen and Theresa, over idiot Ethan. I miss this show soooo much. I'd just like to take a moment to remember the magic: :lol::lol::lol:

    Kind of fascinatingly awful, wasn't it?

    I first found out about it when I was a case manager and made a home visit to a client who was watching it. :wtf: (This is how I also learned that The View was a real program and not just an SNL parody.)

    When I was out of work for a while a few years ago I watched Passions sometimes. I missed a lot of the key moments but I sure got some laughs. Once you turned it on you couldn't look away. It was just too funny.

    Was it Theresa who was executed by lethal injection? I think it took her like 3 episodes to finally die. Then I missed a couple and she'd come back from the dead!

    I turned on an episode with him running around all crazy and thought maybe he'd dropped acid. He was in Oz and being seduced by 3 munchkins. :wtf:

    Oh and little Timmy the living doll. It took me a long time to figure out what he was supposed to be.

    i'm not a fan of soap operas at all, but when this first came out, I was kinda forced to watch it. I worked at Kmart when it came out and everytime i took my lunch this was on tv in the breakroom. :roll: We only hd like 2 stations that worked :lol: and that was one of them, but yeah I rememebr it as being pretty bad. I rememebr the "midget" on it and some witch and just overall very bad stories.

    :lol: Yep. I'm not a fan of soaps either, but my mom has watched The Young and the Restless for a million years, which is considered to be the "good" one, so I can appreciate it. At first, we started tuning in to Passions for the atrocious theme song, but always got sucked in. Then we got hooked on the overall crazytown of it all :?

    I tried to watch it before when I was home on sick leave and couldn't follow it.
    Did you guys know the midget died? I think he was only 20.
    I watch the Young and Restless, have off and on since it began 40 years ago.

    Yeah, he died when the show was still on the air, and occasionally they would have flashbacks. He was Tabitha's sidekick, but eventually she cast a spell or something and made herself a baby named Endora :lol:

    Never been a "Soap Opera" person, in fact I think I only sat down and watched an entire episode once. I was in high school and had a free period, and one day was getting stoned with a friend at his house, and because there was nothing else really on (and we were probably too lazy/high to be bothered with changing the channel) ended up watching one of them. I think it was General Hospital. When I got back to school I jokingly mentioned it to some girl, and next thing I knew I had 10 girls around me wanting to know what happened. I remember thinking it might be a good angle for hitting on the ladies, but then I would have to watch General Hospital every day, so I scrapped the plan.

    It's funny though, I have had a few little stays in county jail, and soap operas are huge in jail. It's hilarious to see a bunch of hard-ass looking dudes standing around in their orange jumpsuits watching All My Children. I like to think there was a huge riot when that got cancelled.

    Makes sense I guess, they come on 5 days a week, almost never a re-run, usually beautiful women, easy to follow, and there's not a whole lot else on TV during the day.

    Makes sense I guess, they come on 5 days a week, almost never a re-run, usually beautiful women, easy to follow, and there's not a whole lot else on TV during the day.
