i counted on not going to the se ed in NM and acccepted that. i tried to sell my ticket because i have a group presentation due that day. i have now decided i cant miss an ed show on election day. it might be too epic. so i emailed my group to see if anyone would cover for me. ive now decided im going to do everything in my power to go. i am really hoping someone has a big heart and ive got some good karma coming my way. . .

hey ed would you mind writing me a note to give to my professor? or signing a couple albums for my group? i would owe you one. . .

    im sorry to hear about the passing of your aunt.

    i killed my aunt off several times for pearl jam tour :)
    it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

    You should go back looking haggard, and not eating in front of colleagues for a few days after your return.

    i already told one guy in the group i had tickets but i wasnt going. so ive taken the honesty route and hoping it pays. but when it comes down to it i may just have to say fuck it. i dont know if i can miss ed. . .

    Two words: explosive diarrhea.

    Nobody ever asks a follow-up question to that. So, just tell them you have explosive diarrhea. It's worked for me on more than one occasion when I've needed a mental health day away from work.

    So happy you decided to go! I vote for the honesty route. Anyone who has any soul would understand. Get your teammates an EV mug or something. And your professor a postcard T, bonus points if you get it signed by Ed.

    Just think about it this way...in 5 yrs will you miss not going to the show more or not doing your presentation more? Have a feeling you'd miss EV way more...just a thought.
