Thank You! You guys helped make waiting in line quite an enjoyable experience. It was very nice to see everyone freely sharing water/food. I know I myself passed out at least 15 bottles of water, but there were so many doing so much more. Last night was a blast and the 10c contingent made it even better!
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

There were a few fans who sold their extra bracelets for $1000 ea. I didnt see too many getting in who didnt show up already having bought tickets. If it was more than 5 or 6, I'd be surprised.

Note: at least half of the balcony was empty (VIP Section), would have been nice to give it to Ten Club members.

I mentioned it last night. I know of a person who did get in for the last two songs without a ticket and she said that "very few" got into the show that way.

  • My question:

What's the big deal? Just friggin let 'em in! Most of them obviously had money, so just charge them ticket prices at the door.

Most of these desperate souls were huge fans, and that's who this show was for, right?

After the deaths in the last few years in the South Side Club and the Porch Collapse, there is ZERO tolerance for violating fire codes with regards to attendance.

I think it's because so many people came down to the lower level. If the lower level had the people where they were supposed to be it would have forced more people up into the balcony, which wasn't VIP. VIP was to the right of the stage and up on the sides.

I wanted to walk up and take a look at the scene from teh balcony and was told I had the wrong bracelet, it was for guests (IE folks sponsoring Lollapalooza, etc)

We tried to get into the balcony with an orange wristband - denied. Security said Purple only.

I was one of the people who waited outside for the chance to get invited in after the show started. They let in about 15 people total I would say and it did not start happening until about half way thru the set. I would have been one of the people who got in but I was not aggresive enough. One of the security guys came out with the last two tickets and was looking right at me with them in his hand. I walked up to him to have him hand it to me but two other people ran up and grabbed them out of his hands. Talk about your heart sinking into your stomach. I will not be so considerate next time!!

The worst part was watching the 'VIP' people showing up an hour or more late to the show and then seeing other 'VIP' people leaving half way thru. There was only about 25 of us who stuck around for the entire show in the alley they could have easily fit us die hards in. Was such a sad bunch out there.
