PJ concerts ON Election Day??

Does anyone know if Pearl Jam ever played a concert on a Presidential Election Day? I know Vedder hasn't because he just started doing his solo tours in '08... but was wondering if the band ever had? I am sure they didn't in 2000, 2004, or 2008, and I'm guessing not in 1996, or if they did it was probably in Europe because I think the No Code US tour was rather short and earlier in the fall. So I guess that leaves '92.

I think it is amazing that Vedder is playing the ABQ show on Election Night, I never would have expected it to happen. I am kind of surprised Eddie agreed to it, too... maybe it was the only night logistically that they could reschedule the ABQ concert to fit in with the rest of the tour and not have it be canceled? If that is the case, I am even EXTRA appreciative of the fact.

I wonder if they will set up tv screens on the sides of the stage to show the results as the numbers come in after Glen's set. Or if we will even know who won by the end of the concert. This year, it may not be as quick as 2008.

I am guessing Eddie is going to work up two set lists... one if there is an Obama victory and one if there is a Romney victory. There are so many songs that would be very fitting to play that night.

I think it is going to be a very emotional concert, either way, and I'm sure it is a night that is going to stand out in the crowd's memory, not JUST as an EV show... but something special. And I think it is going to be very memorable for Eddie as well, I hope. We welcome you to Albuquerque after a long absence, and yes... I did vote early.

I should also mention that if we get the results and if Obama is the projected winner, even though I will miss seeing the returns come in on TV, there is nowhere I'd rather be, and no one I'd rather hear the news from, than Mr. Vedder!
