I check in here now and again and can't help but notice the many forum posts pasted from some other source used to generate discussion. Much of the ensuing discussion is quite interesting, and—that's what I really notice; the many here who write very well about these topics. Your passions encompass a wide range; from politics (but of course), global warming, war and hate, losing our freedoms, and our state-of-affairs.
I guess this why I keep tuning in here; to reaffirm for myself there truly is a good many concerned about the same debacles as I. Concerns that are being presented at http://www.dancingpartners.info
And, this is what I'm posting about; it's my newest bright idea. I've thought to ask others to help write for Dancing Partners. I see potential in this PJ forum.
Dancing Partners is new, I'd guess you call it a grass roots project. It will continue to grow and not just because I'm determined but because many of us, just like the ones hanging out here, are awakening to the fact that much of this world is, or will soon be—in decline—just like America. We are awakening to the idea that if we intend to alter this downward spiral, we must do more than simply cast our vote every 4 years, to then go on about our busy lives, only to then complain once again when we realize that once again—one more president didn't come with a Superman Cape.
Regardless of whether we like the newest fix-all version, we can further divide over tomorrow's outcome, or we can see our roar as a sign—heralding a mass awakening. At some point, (like right now would be a really good time) we must accept that without mass support, nobody's fix-all box will do little more than perpetuate this dysfunctional 4 or 8 year cycle when yet one more opposer comes to sit in the oval office, bent on undoing what the last one did. We know this vicious-cycle is greatly contributing to our country's downward spiral and for about 20 years now. We know that niether Bush nor Obama racked up our first trillion of debt and we also know we can't even afford the interest on this now $16T debt without adding more onto it which means niether choice can put a dent in it unless something else changes. We are the game-changer.
Unless we change this dance up, business as usual has The U.S. Debt Clock clicking our bumbling in at about $24T in the next few years—regardless of who we elect.
Months ago, I joined this site looking for like-minded comrades who know we must do more, now, if we intend to give the future a fighting chance. Well, I'm still looking and yes—I'm persistent.

You can use a pen name if you want and there's only one rule: help unify us—not divide us.
I'll leave with a quote from Alex Carey which I've used several time in DP series and will use several more times because it updates how The Power Dance of Time now goes:
“The 20th century has been characterized by three developments of great
political importance: the growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power,
and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power
AGAINST DEMOCRACY.”

Speaking of driving equipment; has anyone considered just what will happen to all the many driving-jobs once every state passes legislation allowing robots to drive everywhere? California has set the tone. If there isn't strong opposition to this, it will be just one more unstoppable step on the road to superintelligence; the kind of technology that comes with nearly total or total existential risks. When considering this, don't look at just the safety hype. Think of these technologies as being assistive to us—not replacing us, or replacement is just what we'll get.
So here's a snippet I posted with regards to the presidential debates. The all of it can be found under
Who to vote for at http://www.dancingpartners.info
Time to awaken.
Since our debating-duo hammered us with coal and wind manufacturing, and for good reason; energy is one of the few necessary markets left with room for developing, we can use this job-market area to help us awaken. By taking the same past 20-year look back with regards to the coal industry, we can then envision just how the next 20 years will go with regards to the wind industry in terms of what matters greatly to us—our very lifelines.
In the U.S. while the coal industry has expanded production by a large margin, employment there—decreased by half. World Watch Institute spells it out; “this is due to high-cost production equipment taking the place of humans doing these jobs.” Times are a-changing alright; what was once considered automation, is now called autonomous machinery or multi-robot teams and we must come to see—fast—these changing terms are pointing straight to superintelligence just up ahead. High-cost production machines are an entity which must justify their price tag. And, this is done—at our expense. Regardless of how all these terms get dolled up, they most certainly are: job-eliminating technologies.
Multi-robot teams are now hitting the scene where excavating, hauling and loading was once done by human teams and not just in coal mines. However, since the coal industry is currently being regaled as a market with room for job expansion, just visualize this: these multi-robot teams are not being used only in underground mining but at strip mines as well where those monstrosities, which once bustled with all the hubbub that comes with large workforces, now tower amidst the landscape with a relative quiet surrounding them save for the hum, and the whir, and the rumble—of machines.
In the somewhat new industry of wind energy, there’s currently about 300,000 workers. However, techno-innovation is coming on strong; robotic lay-up machinery and finishing technologies are currently being designed to replace the workers who make those long blades, who make those long blades shiny and sleek. So the next time you see a train snake along with a whole slew of those long sleek blades, or a train loaded with those round shiny wind turbines that look like Casper the friendly ghost, just think about all the bustling going on right now in that industry; folks doing all the footwork, creating and building specially designed factories to manufacture those shiny ghosts and sleek blades and—folks monitoring all that busyness. Now if your visual just screeched to a halt at the word—monitoring, well, this goes hand-in-hand with replacing human workers so we’ll need to factor-in the monitoring clip of everything we do, now and forever more. Not only is monitoring used for everything under that banner of safety, but monitoring how-we-do what is how replacement technology grows.
So here’s my best guess; (I don’t have any crystal ball any more than highly educated experts or presidential debaters do) so I’ll say it will probably take less than a decade before those many manufacturing jobs currently bustling around in the wind industries, turn into a drizzling of jobs. Exponentially-factored would probably drop that to just a few short years before those manufacturing floors to echo back an emptiness, interrupted only by the occasional tick-tack of typing and click-clack of footsteps to break the monotonous sound of the whir, and the hum, and the rumble—of machines.
Eyes wide open.
Our sight is not yet fixed on the ogre growing right in front of us; specifically monitoring and replacement technologies, so I suspect our debating-duo are relieved they didn’t have to try and sell us yet one more fix-all assurance to yet one more nearly insurmountable quandary. However, our debating-duo must surely realize; (and if they don’t, we don’t need either one in charge of our ship—cape or no cape) that our jobs will continue to be fed to Wall Street’s adorable Baby-Goliath for the same reason our jobs were shipped overseas. And, because superintelligence is just around the corner: a type of technology that comes with a near-guarantee for total human annihilation, we must quickly awaken to one more irrefutable fact if we intend to slow this horror down on our watch. Our new-age techno-babe has been gorging on our jobs simply because there’s an insatiable appetite on that street. And, this reckless gorging will continue until the one entity powerful enough to put it on a diet—does just that.
So, who's got the cape worthy of our vote?
Currently, since our eyes are fixated only on some cape, I’ve decided to run Part VII this coming Tuesday—one week before the newest, final showdown. In that installment: I will gladly tell you who all of us must vote for dammit! In the meantime, remember the installments are the contributions offered at http://www.dancingpartners.infothat are the long min-studies to help us awaken from our slumber, so please use the printable version and make plans to find some uninterrupted time. And with that, I'll leave you with just one more choice to ponder—it's the ultimate one about the choices we now face: we can choose to remain kings of this amazing hill — or we can give it all away and be ruled by machines. And while you are thinking about this, just remember: to do nothing—is still a choice.

Tomorrow we will speak; let it be a roar! It's the one day that comes every 4-years in which our ruling cadre actually cares about what we have to say. But it's our voice so let it been read as a signal we are awakening—not dividing.
I'm being persistent today because: THE LAST THING WE NEED IS TO DIVIDE OVER TOMORROW'S OUTCOME!
Neither Obama or Romney come with a cape dammit! There's only one partner in the Ageless Power Dance formidable enough to chisel a way out of the trillions heaped upon us and we must activate our own power now! We can't afford to reactivate the do-nothing but vote & then sit and hope ticket any longer dammit!
And while we're at it, let's burn the damn squabbling cards about who can, or who could have—fixed it all for us.
I keep coming back to this PJ forum because I see bright minds engaging. But I also keep coming back because I know we need to get something going — somewhere — and that means we can set the tone...making what needs to be done, fun—or miserable. I choose fun.
