Is it THAT difficult?
Fuck.
Anyway, I have lots of family throughout NY and CT as well. Good thoughts to them and anyone else who's getting hit hard by this. The footage I've seen is just frightening.
The storm is the topic. We hope everyone and their families are safe. hugs.
Maybe we should kept our posts and concerns about Sandy on AET instead of the more politically oriented AMT.
In any case, my biggest concern is for the well being of family and friends back east. Best wishes to all of you.

I hope they all got out to safety...
"I need your strength for me to be strong...I need your love to feel loved"
Heartbreaking almost seems an understatement.
(and, bless those who by career or character - or both - have acted with such courage and kindness. Not like I welcome disaster, but man, does it bring humility and gratitude to the forefront.)
why they chose not to evacuate when they were told is mind boggling ... even more mind boggling is that because the woman didn't want to leave her home - her sister joined her with her cat ... awful ...
Hope Mr. Unlost is safe through all of this. Really good work he is doing The damage is really heartbreaking.[/quote]

glad you and your family are safe ... good also to hear that those commercials about state farm seem to be true!
Anyway I feel for the people who lost everything or anything. Good luck and get on with it.
But it makes you wonder how many places built so close to the ocean are going to go the way of Atlantis?
