Shrinking Insects

I know, there are a lot more pressing issues going on out there but I have to ask- are insects shrinking? A fly landed on my book last night. It about the size of a pin head. A spider ran across my desk today. It was about the size of a grape seed. I haven't seen a normal sized insect in weeks. What's going on here?

It's cold out there. Haven't you heard of "shrinkage"?
