Can it affect how people vote or not? I suppose if you get nailed and response is slow, anger may be taken out against who is currently in charge.

How say you?

Our President is flying home from Florida today, they mentioned on the am news...
he might not make it back to DC.

I would think he should have left sooner and be at the White House.
Maybe he's not the fan of the Weather Channel that I am ;)
  • I would say the President has a bigger stage here than Romney and can use that to his advantage! There certainly can be a political cost both ways for the President, therefore making it difficult for Romney to make any headway here. The media is definately on Obama's side and they wont make him look bad in any way!

Um, given that Fox news gets the highest amount of viewers, and that Fox is very much against anything Obama, I would ascertain the above comment is only your opinion and in no way related to fact. I would imagine that Fox will very much go out of their way to make the president look bad.

Do we think the remnants of this disaster ...
flooding power outages etc will keep anyone from getting out to vote?

I don't think it should be turned into a political issue at all... BUT in saying that Obama's conference this morning was all class. Bit better then Bush during Katrina...

I would hope people's concerns would be for those affected by the storm only. This in no way should be a political issue. Whether republican, democrat, independent, red, blue, black ,white, green or yellow my best wishes go out to any of you on the east coast affected by this storm.

it's generally considered one of bush's biggest failures.. his reaction to Katrina.
