A bitter, rich divorcee.

She couldn't find someone he cheated with, so she's going with this.

Her and Trump should get a room and get all their attention needs taken care of by each other.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    Here here!

Not to mention the bombardment of proposition ads.

As to Allred, cannot stand that woman...talk about a media/attention whore.

Obama's signature move: go after sealed divorce records!

2004 Democratic primary, Blair Hull's, and then the general election, Jack Ryan's.

So I'm not sure how surprised I am...

So, it's Obama's fault that Jack Ryan had some, uhhh, nontraditional sexual tastes, and Blair Hull was violent toward his wife?

So, his whole political career revolves around exposing his opponent's shady past behavior?

    Interesting.

Well it pretty much has to when he has no record he's willing to run on...

But you're curiously blurring the "shady past behavior" of private lives vs public lives. Definitely a topic of debate in these parts -- do outside-the-norm sexual habits preclude you from public office? Does a physical assault on your wife?

Would you argue that voters should know because it goes toward the character of the candidate?

All the parties of divorce in these instances would have preferred they stayed sealed. The media felt otherwise, and Obama grabs the brass ring.

    You're cool with that, eh?

And now we must review divorce proceedings of a third party, because maybe Romney did something shady there?

No record? If a Democrat was in office from 2001-2009 and had the same exact record as George W. Bush (9/11, tax policy, two wars, economic collapse, spending), and was followed by a republican who has the same record as Obama, are you telling me that you wouldn't be singing a different tune? Are you telling me that the political discussion going on in this country wouldn't be different?

I'm not blurring anything. I would say that violence toward a spouse says a lot about the character of an individual. So, NO, I wouldn't want him/her as my Senator/Representative. I wouldn't want him as my friend or brother-in-law either. I wouldn't want him as my neighbor. The sexual habits.....this isn't that big of a deal to me, but what does say something about an individual's character is how he would treat his wife. That is separate from one's sexual habits.

    See above

Not worth a comment. Pure conjecture. if you can give me proof that Obama orchestrated these disclosures, then do it. Where are Ryan and Hull? Why don't they speak out and implicate Obama?
What connection does Obama have with Gloria Allred?

I am neither cool with it nor not cool with it. It is conjecture, hearsay.

Is this Obama's doing? Give me proof of his connection to Allred.

First and foremost, over the past few weeks, Why, I've noticed you're one of the more level-headed participants in these here parts. I applaud you for your wit, knowledge and demeanor. Thus I find myself willing to engage, perhaps sometimes ill prepared. I enjoy your style and hope to emulate that. Thanks for pointing out when I'm just grasping at straws, pushing buttons...

But yes, I would argue that were the parties reversed in the past 12 years, it would be a different overall discourse. As entrenched as the right is in talk radio and blogs, the left simply owns the major news media-academia-entertainment industries and shape the debate accordingly.

Show me the coverage of Fast and Furious in the NY Times, ABC or NBC news coverage. A sitting Attorney General was charged with contempt, and major media yawns.

And of course, we agree, character matters. Your actions when nobody is watching speak volumes about you.

But that said, both the wives in question wanted those records sealed, preferred that they remain sealed -- so your characterization of sexual practices and wife beating are somewhat off the mark. There's just he said/she said in a meltdown of a relationship, irregardless of the official record of divorce -- just shades of gray. No charges, deemed "mutual combat." Just one physical event, certainly a lot of emotional abuse.

That the parties wanted the records sealed is not conjecture. That Obama got the brass ring is not conjecture. But your right, I started all this by calling it his signature move -- it's more accurately the signature of those who would see him grab the ring.

I no more think that Trump is orchestrating with Romney than Gloria is orchestrating with Obama, but I'm not willing to conceed that some orechestration among minions is in play. The motive is there, now we seek proof.

Again, it's not conjecture that the parties wanted the records sealed and the media overrode them ... for the good of the republic I gather. THis aspect of the media unsealing divorce records is something I'm undecided on. If there were criminal charges, believe me, those should be public.

I've seen a few too many ugly divorces to take either side at their word unfortunately.

And then, as Obama himself characterized Romney, Obama is the flag-bearer of the Democrat Party. Of course he didn't issue the marching orders to Gloria. But he alone stands to gain and so the action rests at this feet. He could stop it.
