Thats what happened with the Melbourne shows as well.. they waited until the day before and released floor seats close to the stage.

When I called Ticketek to get my rearview seats on Wednesday, I asked them about the seats and thats what they said they did for Melbourne (release more floor seats). They said I could wait and see if they will do it with this show too... but it might not have happened.

Ah well.. looks like it will be a full house!

I just pretended to book 2 seats on the floor and got section D...

I wana try these rearview seats tho... the view of the whole crowd will be amazing I reckon!

I have a feeling that rear view section 17 may have a superb view of the whole band and the crowd with no chance of a giant standing in front of you blocking your view (due to the elevation). Maybe Ed will thank us for taking the risk of an impeded view by coming up into section 17 to sing RVM!!!!!

one more sleep!!!! Going home to make myself CDs of Sydney 1 & Randall's Island 2 1996 for the trip up tomorrow.

I joined up and pretended I was going to buy tickets. It said single seats only for the reserved area were available (I suppose this means the floor) and Section 21 (rear view) was still available.

I know its great that they're releasing extra seats and all but...

whats so good about rearview seats though? Surely its not all /that/ good looking at the backs of their heads?

The rearview was AWESOME - section 17 went OFFFFFFFFFFF

We ended up sneaking into section 48. It was much better than what we originally had. We could see the band both on stage and on the screen AND got to see what was going on side stage. It was also amazing watching the crowd action and seeing the expressions on the faces of people in the first 10 rows.
