  • Interesting....
    Thanksgiving Day...
I am not going to my sisters, because we are in the middle of WWIII.
My parents are not going to my sisters for the same reason.
Kathy is going to her Mom's house, but I cant go there, and leave my parents by themselves.

    So now...
It will be Myself, Mom, and Dad at their house.
I offered to cook..They said no
SO NOW...We are getting one of those Pre-Cooked Turkeys, with all the trimmings, from either Dominicks or Jewel Foods..

    This should be interesting!

Interesting is an understatement.:lol::lol: I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that dinner.

I'm not having Thanksgiving until my sister comes up in the beginning of December. But damn it...I want a turkey sooner. Maybe this weekend again

This is the earliest it can be by the calendar, the 22nd, I like that.

Makes for a longer time til Christmas too :D

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

i once did a study on impact of holiday sales and the legnth of time between thanksgiving and christmas and concluded to maximize sales, the day christmas falls on was more important the time between the holidays.

i believe a monday christmas was most advantageous....but i'd have to relook at that report.

I'm starting to gather the supplies for Thanksgiving too.

I love making that dinner. It takes me two days, but my boys and I enjoy the results! :D

Yay! I got Friday off this year. I usually work for 1/2 a day with one doc the day after Thanksgiving. I get paid a full day, then get another day added to my vacation time. This year we are closed closed closed!! A four day weekend is just what I need :D

Inlaws coming over on Thursday. hopefully they'll leave right after dinner instead of sticking around. 2-1 odds that my idiot brother inlaw doesn't show.

Love me some Thanksgiving. Heading up to the mom's family. 25 or so people at a table, the most stereotypical Thanksgiving ever, and it's awesome.

Miss my old man though. He loved this time of year and made some kick ass pumpkin pie.

Need to pick up a couple bottles of wine and pumpkin pie and all will be well. Mmmmm love me some lazy turkey day
