sound familiar to anyone?

"The date was December 12, 1970; the Doors were playing a large, dank waterfront venue in New Orleans. Hunched over his keyboard, Manzarek says, he felt Morrison ''leave the stage'' — but Morrison's body was standing stock-still in front of the microphone. When the singer's ''spirit'' returned, it was with a vengeance: He smashed a hole through the stage with a mike stand, ending the concert early and providing a suitably dramatic finish to what turned out to be the Doors' final performance with Morrison. "

4/11/94 anyone?

  • Does anybody else think that Ray Manzarek should just enjoy his golden years and stop trying to bring back the Doors? Let it rest Ray. lol

Agreed! That Scott Stapp thing was totally unnecessary.

with each and everytime i hear/read a manzarek interview, i like him less and less. love the band, love his music. do not like the crap singers (save Ed & one or 2 other guests) that have played/toured with them since Jims death...

even though the Doors.....are one of my favorite bands of all time. It was over the day Jim walk out from recording LA Woman and Ray can't let it go...38 years....let it go
