When you thought it couldnt get worse for the president....it just did! WOW

He says if 4 Americans get killed its "not optimal". LOL Poor choice of words

Why has the administration been so wierd over this entire ordeal?
Why have they lied about many things over this ordeal?
Why did they not call it a terrorist attack in the first 14 days?
What is the excuse for days later, going on all the talk shows and talking about some video?

There was an attack in April, June, July and Sept. and the Ambassador knew he was in trouble. Why did the state dept. fail him and our others.

Our consulate is on American soil! These type of attacks are acts of war.

How will Obama weasel his way out of this one on Monday nights debate? Al Queda is stronger than ever and creeping toward us! Look it up.....do your homework!
Theres no time like the present

A man that stands for nothing....will fall for anything!

All people need to do more on every level!

  • The mother of an American diplomat killed during a terrorist raid on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi has hit out at Barack Obama for describing the attack as 'not optimal', saying: 'My son is not very optimal - he is also very dead.'

During an interview shown on Comedy Central, Obama responded to a question about his administration's confused communication after the assault by saying: 'If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal.'

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline today, Pat Smith, whose son Sean died in the raid, said: 'It was a disrespectful thing to say and I don't think it's right.

'How can you say somebody being killed is not very optimal? I don't think the President has the right idea of the English language.'

Speaking from her home in San Diego, Mrs Smith, 72, continued: 'It's insensitive to say my son is not very optimal - he is also very dead. I've not been "optimal" since he died and the past few weeks have been pure hell.

'I am still waiting for the truth to come out and I still want to know the truth. I'm finally starting to get some answers but I won't give up.

'There's a lot of stupid things that have been said about my son and what happened and this is another one of them.'

  • Hey, speaking of Phony outrages nobody cares about used to distract us from Mitt Romney's plan to make the rich richer and the poor sick and die...

What ever happened about that "You Didn't Build That" thing they were all going on about a month ago? And that thing about the president apologizing to terrorists and stuff?

And wasn't there a thing about China being a "currency manipulator" or something?

i would say, unlike the other things that get posted on here, that this was indeed a gaffe by the president ...

Phony outrage? On the part of the mother or the person who created the thread?

(I don't really doubt either are insincere; perhaps the latter is exceptionally outraged...dunno)

Anyway, my heart goes out to that mother and others in her position.

Did any of you watch the actual interview? Stewart said it first....BO was replying using the same phrasing Stewart used. It wasn't really his choice of words. Stewart said something about it being 'not optimal'....and Obama pretty much said 'any time four americans die, no, it's not optimal'....it's not like he was saying it to minimize the event

OP I know this is a very important election for BOTH sides and I sure you want your guy to win badly. However, I know you have your agenda but why not TRY and post things with a bit more validation and importance to them...why not.

    .

This is just another entry in the "Obama hates America because fill in the blank" phony outrage that the right is rather famous for. Not that the left don't do it, but I don't think I ever see them come even remotely close to the absurd fits over his middle name Hussein or that he likes Dijon mustard or that he didn't have his hand on his heart during the national anthem once.

Much like how they took the last 4 words from a speech about how the government supports the infrastructure that fuels small business and got "you didn't build that," they took a question from Jon Stewart where he said "that's not optimal" and the president, in answering said "no, that's no optimal" and just used the last three words and are reporting that the president makes old ladies cry by saying their dead kids are a bit of a bummer.

This is phony outrage. And we all know it..

Exactly my point. Creating five new 'Obama is a socialist who hates America' threads and five 'The Sun shines out of Romney's arse' threads every day is really getting pretty fucking boring.

    yeah that is really old.

is that why all of those threads got locked earlier? i logged in and was like "holy crap, some shit went down overnight!!" then i read them and was like, "can't most of this be in one thread?"

Well, I've seen lots of folks meet and greet absurdity in their "fits". Not just a left/right thing. Stupidity and blindness abound all over.

Those "look what HE did!" moments. Over the most trivial of shit.

Still, as to the mother of the killed, I stand by what I said. Not sure if you tossed her and her sense of loss and anger in your entry of the phoniness. I'm thinking/hoping not.

Poor choice of words but anyone who is a normal human being and not a lunatic understands that. Simple as that, close the thread.

    I am, actually.

I'm sure that having your adult child killed must be a horrible thing and what she's going through must be unfathomable. But, she also is jumping on the bandwagon of saying that the president said something that he didn't actually say.

And grieving or not... it's not ok to do that.

    ha!

the same people having fun with 'binders' is calling someone out on 'optimal'...
    alrighty then...

But, if anti-American trolls want to keep starting threads like this, so be it.

Really? I'm surprised, but...ok. See it as you will.

I give people in the throes of grief leeway - to an extent, of course - but still.

yep...this should be about Stewart saying "not Optimal," not Obama...he repeated back someone else's words. I reflect back people's thoughts all day using their language...often words I would never use on my own  I do ♥ Jon Stewart though.

It would be nice to contain all this stuff into maybe just a few threads. Not saying that the issues shouldn't be discussed...but AMT is on thread overload right now. Sort of looks like AET
