1.All Pearl Jam releases are at the top - may be a cop out for some- but true for me, would listen to any one of these before other albums
    2. Ok Computer - pure brilliance
    3. Southern Harmony and Musical Companion - captured everything they were trying to achieve
    4. Badmotorfinger - BADASS!!
    5. The Ghost of Tom Joad - Love Bruce in stripped back mode
    6. Vulgar Display of Power - Brutal!!
    7. Automatic for the People - Their best work IMO
    8. Battle of Los Angeles - Could be any of the first three RATM albums, but this one is played most for me
    9. Hourly Daily - You am I release the best Aussie album of the last 20 years - PERFECT album
    10. MTV unplugged - Nirvana - when this came out, I wasn't sure as Nivana for me was about raw heavy thud, but have grown to love this
I'll ride the wave where it takes me

1- Nirvana - Nevermind (does it really need an explanation, it broke down the door, it killed off shit rock, it defined a generation)

2 - Pearl Jam - Ten (an amazingly crafted hard rock masterpiece that hits your heart)

3 - Soundgarden - Superunknown (could easy be 1 or 2, such an artistic colossus)

4 - Alice in Chains - Dirt (an amazing honest metal album)

5- Tool - Aenima (amazing guitar, amazing lyrics, amazing vocals, a gem of metal)

6- Green Day - Dookie (instant catchy classic that brought punk rock back to the mainstream and started countless imitators)

7 - RATM - self titled (powerful rap metal with a message, kicks you in the face)

8 - NIN - The Downward Spiral (amazing raw emotional lyrics with great sound)

9 - Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream (fantastic metal album, well crafted, brilliant)

10 - Faith No More - Angel Dust (an epic alt-metal masterpiece, so diverse in style, amazing)

So many other great albums omitted from the top 10!!!

Too tired to make a top ten right now, but the best album of the 90's, in my not so humble opinion, is "Achtung Baby." Nothing else comes close.
