Clinton: I'm responsible for diplomats' security

"I take responsibility," Clinton said during a visit to Peru. "I'm in charge of the State Department's 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts. The president and the vice president wouldn't be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals. They're the ones who weigh all of the threats and the risks and the needs and make a considered decision."

at this point does it really matter who is responsible ?
in my opinion the big question is how will it be taken care of,what can be done to clean the mess that is left ?
what changes can be put in place to avoid this type of mess again ?

"Let us resolve that never again will we send the precious young blood of this country to die trying to prop up a corrupt military dictatorship abroad," -George McGovern D. 1972

Taking one for the team, eh?

I thought our diplomats getting murdered was just a "bump in the road". If Romney had said that, it would still be making headlines.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

no doubt my friend, a comment like that would change the corse of an election, she may pay for that in the future should she run for president,it will haunt her for the rest of her political career for sure.

Others should be haunted as well. She's not the only one.

know1, agreed. (and oh, what a team to take one for!)

(GF, kudos on the error-free thread title  )

  • They're in trouble. Feel bad for Hillary (never thought id say that). First the humiliation of bill, now she must kneel for Barack. Wow! Bet her mom never thought that would happen.

And tonight, obama starts agreeing with Romney. Yowzers. I actually think Mitt might win. Who'd a thunk it?
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Only Republicans would twist the Libya exchange into a win for Romney. Heeeeeelarious
