I know this isn't really the place for questions but since all the poster collectors are here i figured this would be the best place to ask.
I am getting a flat file today and was wondering how to get the posters to store flat -- just put some books on them for a while?
also what type of paper should i use in between the posters?
and any other advice is appreciated --

thanks

When I get my posters flat I use Mylar sheets instead of that light craft paper. But I would imagine anything acid free would be alright. As far as the books I use......I put a Penthouse in each corner and then fill in all of the blank spots......usually takes about 9 of them.....then I slide my portfolio under the bed and leave it until I am ready to frame one of the posters.
I am not saying this is the right way.....I am just saying it is my way. I am sure there will be alot of different techniques to follow.
    Hope this helps.

The mental image of a used Penthouse is not a good mental image. I use Hustler ...
  • awesome - thanks for the advice --- i have a lot of old playboys around ... i know - so PG13 right.
  • Just put something heavy on the corners. I use poster weights on mine to keep them down for a while and have a set that I put on top of prints in my flatfile as well.
Here's a link to the ones that I use.
