help with messaging

Hoping someone can answer my question. What is the difference between messages in your outbox and messages in sent mail. I sent private messages and 1 is showing in sent mail and 3 are in the outbox. How do things move from the outbox to actually being sent?

    I think something remains in your outbox until the other person has read it, then it goes to sent mail. I just guessed that myself, haven't actually tested it or anything.

    oh that makes sense. So then it seems that the person read my message but chose not to respond? hmmmm... :) Thanks for your reply.

    sent mail=read it
    outbox=not read it yet

    You're welcome. Maybe they just haven't got to replying yet. I know sometimes I'll read messages when I'm out or at work but leave replying until I get home.
