If you want a business man that got rich by laying off American workers then Mitt is a great one to have. Nothing he did was ever about job creation. It was all about wealth creation for him and his buddies. If you're one of his buddies go ahead and vote for him and get rich at the sake of 99% of this country.

I heard Barry say that if he didn't get "this mess" (emoticon) fixed in four years he would be a one term president.

Great point! Lets just give the rest of the country to the top 1% who so clearly have all our best interests in mind.

Being a business man I feel he will do everything he can to get America back on it's feet. Business men do not like to fail. I am positive he at least cares about this country, and to have a great country people need to be working. People working equals good economy. If something is not working maybe it will be best if he gets rid of it. We need someone with the balls to make tuff decisions and are not afraid of the criticism that it brings.

yeah, because a guy who spends his life and all his money preparing for the highest office in the world just hangs em up once he gets there!

oh, and your last statement? that's exactly what Obama's been doing. you know, to give all you allah-ring-theorists things to bitch about.

I am sure I've posted this before, I am not a republican. I am registered with the Green Party. If I were you I would stay off the Muslim subject. Guarantied to get a thread locked up. Yes I would vote for just about anyone other than Obama. He had his chance and failed.

BIll Clinton wasn't a businessman and he did just fine with the economy. Bush II was a businessman and he sure knew how to spend money NOT make money. Maybe, just maybe, having someone who cares more about money is NOT what we need. We need a president who cares more about creating the best America possible. I don't really believe MONEY is what makes our country great.
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

I agree totally, but you can't be a broke country and great at the same time.

Maybe not but it is power and what makes others think we are great
and right now we are very much not so great, both in how the world perceives us
    and in harsh reality.

Clinton can take credit for much that was done in spite of him, the environment and others
made that era of the 90's.

I am intrigued with the idea of a successful businessman heading our country.

I'd probably rather have a president with a business background than a career politician. Heck, just about anyone might be better than the worst President that I can remember (Obama).

Neither one is getting my vote, however.

Maybe we need to redefine what it means to be great. We aren't broke and I'm not downplaying the economic recession or the unemployment but we are much better off here than other areas of the world. We need to focus on America and doing right by our citizens and our fellow members of the world rather than vying for more money so we can have more power.

Yes, money does equal power. Perhaps we should stop worrying about how much power we have and focus on fixing our problems. If the world has a negative perception of the US it has more to do with our abuse of power.

Wrong! You can degrade any religion and nothing happens here. Just mentioning the M or I world will lock up a thread faster that you can blink an eye! It can also get you a warning on the New sources that a person uses. That warning surprised the shit out of me.
