LOVED this show as a kid (child of the 80s, natch). But I was sorely disappointed when I bought the first season DVD set several years ago ... it just doesn't hold up as well as I'd like. I mean, for starters, NO ONE could aim. The only thing either side was any good at was shooting at equipment, but never in time because the operators would alwasy bail out. Oh, but I guess the Joes did get a bit better at shooting the enemy ... robots.
Beyond that, some of the dialogue was awful and some of the plots were ridiculous. Remember the Cobra plot to take over the world via a boy band? :fp:
I will say the cartoon movie is a helluva lot better than that abomination they put out in the theaters a few years ago ...
