    What is going on with the Gorge as a venue? outside the usual festivals the last two years the lineup has been poor to say the least.

    Around 2003 they built the White River Amphitheatre. I've only been there once for Lolla '03. I wasn't a big fan. It's a long drive in on single lane road, so the traffic get's really really bad (not like the gorge where it's all I90, and only the last handful of miles is a road). The White River Theatre is much closer to Seattle but it felt like the driving time was very similiar to the Gorge. It has a nice view of Mt. Ranier but it's no Gorge. I was worried back then that alot of bands would starting going there, but it kind of fizzled after a few years.

    This year it looks like a bunch of stuff is booking there again, it could explain why the Gorge is a bit slower this year.

    First Show was 1995
    I've lost count of how many afterwards.
    Memorable funny show moments: The Halloween show with the whole band dressed as The Villiage People including Mike in assless chaps doing Yellow Ledbetter; Ed forgetting the words to "Betterman" in Vegas.
    Ed looking upwards at the the giant cables coming to the center in old Forum (circular building) in LA and saying it looked like the worlds biggest asshole, just like Dick Cheney. :-)
