RV? I like the air conditioned hotels in ellensburg
My only question is usually whether to take the Coho ferry over to Port Angeles and drive from there, or to take the ferry to Vancouver and drive south to Seattle....

Really? I've been going to Seattle shows since '98. Memorial Stadium, Key Arena, and The Gorge. The Gorge shows by far are my favourite. I travel to them from Victoria, so it means about 5.5 hours of driving from the Ferry instead of the 2.5 to Seattle. I find it's well worth the extra 3 hours.

I'd be coming from Victoria as well.I really think it be worth it for a weekend PJ retreat. Even though the Canadian dollar is shit I'd still go!

Yah that's the spirit. Me too! I love road tripping out to the Gorge
I also found my new favourite way to get to Seattle this past weekend. Previously we'd either ferry to Vancouver and drive down, or to Port Angeles and drive around. This time we took the ferry to port angeles, but drove to bainbridge island, and took the ferry from there right to downtown seattle. 35 minute ferry knocks off over an hour of driving.. it's brilliant
