5/13, 5/20 - Just after the spring dates, not likely 6/03, 6/17 - Just before or after Bonnaroo, not likely 7/22 - A month before Fenway/Wrigley, maybe 8/12, 8/26 - In between or after Fenway/Wrigley, maybe 9/07, 9/14 - After DMB Labor Day weekend, more likely
Looking at www.cavebinn.com you can see where the resort is blocked out the weekends of Sasquatch, Phish, DMB, as well as several FRI/SAT combos that are probably weddings.

Good post. August or September/October works for me.

Unless the wedding party booked the whole property (which could happen) they are not for weddings. I am getting married there. Weddings happen regardless if there is a concert or not, as long as the band is not staying there, then as you already know, most of the property is off limits. More than likely they are for bands and yet to be announced shows.
Never been to the Gorge, is it a camp site? There don't seem to be too many hotels nearby.
The Gorge is on the desert side of Washington state (when driving from Seattle, once you get past the mountains, it turns to desert). It's really dry and hot in the summer. The Gorge is in the middle of nowhere. It's on the side of canyon along the columbia river in the middle of the desert. There is "camping" but it's in a wide open field. I did it once for a Lollapalooza in the 90s, but it's frigging hot, there's no shade, and it's completely unforgiving.
There's some small towns to the East and West of the Gorge (about 45 mins of driving after the show). If your coming from the East, Moses Lake is a decent town to stay in. If you're coming from the West then it's Ellensburg. Those are the closest towns of reasonable size. We stayed in Cle Elum which is 20ish minutes past Ellensburg West of the Gorge. It's not bad, and it was cheaper. Not so good if the hotel is for seeing back to back shows, but if you're heading back to the coast, it's a shorter drive the next morning
So yah.. the key to Gorge is booking a hotel with air conditioning so you can cool down and get sleep.
btw. Can I change my vote for 2017. Now that I'm trekking to Chicago... I'd rather have NorthWest shows next year

Thanks for all the info. That answered a lot of questions I had.
Canada Day/Independence Day Long weekend would be a perfect weekend for the boys to return to the Gorge. Not quite the middle of the oppressive summer.

Yah the July 1 to July 4th mega long Canada/America long weekend would be doable. Already have that booked off for camping, could always change up my plans
Starting to feel bleak....was hoping for at least one Gorge show, but the schedule for the last couple seasons at the Gorge has been pretty damn weak. Foos last year, and Phish is the only announcement for the whole year outside the normal festivals.
