Yea... too bad Brandon has ruined this band with the last couple of records...

too many ballads, not enough anger... they need to get back to records like morning view, make yourself, and A Crow... (i'd include SCIENCE in here too, but I know they'll never make another album like that again unfortunately....)
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I agree - their most recent album is way too poppy. I miss the old Incubus

This is by far my favorite Incubus album. My friend introduced me to them with S.C.I.E.N.C.E. but this is the album that really made me a fan. I agree with some of the sentiments regarding their most recent albums, but there's usually something I find in each that I end up liking. Haven't quit them yet.

That being said, did anybody splurge for the HQ Live box set? Would love to get my hands on a copy of Make Yourself, and even Morning View, live front to back. Tried to go one of the nights at HQ but didn't end up getting picked for the show.

I totally agree with my fellow Newfoundlander on this one.

This is still probably my favorite album, but I also like a lot of their newer stuff too. I know I'm probably in the minority here on that though. They have gotten better and better every time I see them live too which is always a plus.

They recently put out an amazing box set with an autographed coffee table book, blu ray/DVD, and 6 CDs/8 vinyls. The vinyls include them playing make yourself, morning view, and their newest album start to finish live. All the stuff was taken from their Incubus HQ shows last summer. Is pretty awesome and hearing all of make yourself live rocks

I love the album, and the title track in particular. It's an amazing disc to drive to.

You found something you like in that terrible "If not now, When?" album?

I will admit to finding several songs I like on light gernades, but you could see Brandon taking over the band on that album and muting out the guitarist's creative/heavy metal streak... and it is completely gone on "If not now, When?"

I loved incubus' first four major albums (not including Fungus Amongus as a major album), but light grenades starts to go sour for me with songs like "Dig", "Oil and Water", "Diamonds and Coal"... too much ballad, all the focus on Brandon's voice, and no guitar rifs... I don't dig it... and then all of "If not now, When?" is the exact same context as those 3 tunes.... ugh...

Always good to find another Newfie lurking around here. ;)

Really like the different dynamics and shift of "In the Company of Wolves"
