Yo

Just completed the latest compilation. Usual deal - listened to all the shows, individually ranked each song, before going back again and checking out the best versions of each before final selection.

All edited nicely, with seamless transitions between the songs so it listens just like a normal concert. Only 7 repeats from the first leg comp.

All tracks from the officially released FLAC files. These are still available to purchase, so I'm not in a position to trade it through the group. But thought it might be vaguely interesting for some of you.

Lastly, if you do find it more than vaguely interesting, please feel free to PM me...

Im sure glad I went to those SF shows.
This sidewalk is for regular walking, not for fancy walking!
  • yeah...i was looking through it and i thought this guy has to be from san francisco
  • dude, listen to the Milwaukee shows, some songs owned...
He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share, his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere.
  • I listened to all the shows, as it says in the original post.

Coming from England, happy to report that bias towards any shows wasn't a factor. I'll be honest, the posts where people claim song x was the best version ever simply because they attended make me want to put my face through the nearest window.

I will agree with the SF guy though - those shows were very special indeed.
  • Did you happen to make a compilation of the first leg???

I'd love to see that as well

    EDIT: Nevermind, found it
  • awesome job once again! great choices for the songs. I really liked hearing some of the other covers like All Along the Watchtower (Portland), Here's to the State of Miss. (LA I), Waiting on a Friend (Santa Barbara) & So You Want to Be a Rock & Roll Star (Denver I). and i agree little wing was def. better the second go around. i bet it was so hard to pick an even flow from this leg since they all had awesome Matt solos!

  • From the covers you mentioned, I really liked Watchtower and Waiting on a Friend. I originally had them down for inclusion, but then space became a bit short and it was tough to find the right spots for them.

Even Flow is generally a pretty hard song to pick out, simply cos they nail it most nights. The San Diego version grabbed me the most, primarily cos Matt has more of a samba thing going with his solo :-)
