Yo

Just completed the latest compilation. Usual deal - listened to all the
shows, individually ranked each song, before going back again and
checking out the best versions of each before final selection.

All edited nicely, with seamless transitions between the songs so it
listens just like a normal concert. 100+ different songs over the three 2006 comps so far.

All tracks from the officially released FLAC files. These are still
available to purchase, so I'm not in a position to trade it through the
group. But thought it might be vaguely interesting for some of you.

Lastly, if you do find it more than vaguely interesting, please feel
free to PM or email me...

    Very nice.

i would have had daughter from Milan in there

as well as Betterman from Arnhem.

good choice with the opener though, i'm not ashamed to admit that Inside Job had me on the verge of tears.

i might just make that playlist up now.....

You definitely need more Dublin songs in there :p . Of the two shows I was at (apart from Astoria) you have 2 songs from Dublin and 5 from Verona? that does not make sense at all... Verona was great but the sound on the Dublin boot is much better. At least put the boys are back in town and indifference in there :p
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
    Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
    Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
    Chicago 07? And love
    What a different life
Had I not found this love with you

Indifference maybe, but The Boys Are Back In Town does sound brilliant, even though Ed fucked the second verse. What I'd would give to have been in Dublin :(. And you're right HH, the Dublin crowd sound amazing on the boot.

Oh indifference just gives me chills listening to it. How great is that crowd singing? :o AND it's a song I never really cared all that much for before hearing it live  . Now I have absolutely no idea why, cos I love it, lol.

I was at Milan, and of course it was a wonderful version.

That said, on the US leg 2 comp I did, I put Black on there from Denver 2. Another great version - "unique" as well, I guess, with Benmont Tench's work.

I try to mix the sets up as much as possible to keep them fresh and interesting.

I had Garden from Boston II on my first leg comp.

Hey, great location by the way - I work in Lincoln!

Nice work. I agree with the Dublin comments. I have attended a lot of Pearl Jam shows but I have to say that Indifference at the Point is a moment I will never forget. It was like an outer body experience ( and I do not say that lightly).

One thing which really sticks out to me from this year is Matt Cameron. What a drummer.

I think it is really great we can share our experiences here and are also lucky enough to have these bootlegs. What a great year.

i don't like doing this to people who take the time and effort to put these compilations together cause its not fair to sit back at the end and point out the errors...but...

    U.S. Leg 2, um, requires:

26.5 Long Road - San Diego [July 7th]

    ...and no, i wasn't there...
Of course I value your opinion. It's what makes you wrong and me right.

I can understand you pointing it out, absolutely.

For me, I absolutely loved the intro/speech the first time I heard it. But that's the problem with those kind of things - on a regular basis that part is just gonna get skipped.

The song itself really isn't that good a version; certainly no better than Detroit from leg one... which I also left off!

I'm starting the Aussie shows on Monday - I hope they nail one from there so I can include it next time round :-)

so how come you didn't rate the encore break 1 and 2's huh.

really it's impressive that you 1) got all the boots to listen to em. 2) had enough time to listen and rate each and every song (excluding the all important encore breaks ;) ) and 3) made complitations for each leg.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Never thought of rating the encore breaks! Its not a bad idea actually, but again, long term, I'd imagine they'd just get skipped anyway. I do have encore breaks from the shows in there, though edited so it sounds just like a normal show.

I have a 3 hour + commute every day, so finding the time to listen to the shows ain't difficult!

I was actually considering a project similar to this called the:
"Peal Jam Live Project for lack of a better name"

Basically remake 10, VS, Vitalogy, Nocode, Yield, Binaural, Riotact and PearlJam out of live recordings.

May even be able to make some of lost dogs too :)

Might also do a "Bonus" covers disk...

I dont think I have nearly enough decent boots for the project though :(

    Nice job !
For me (after being at the french shows),
"Not for you" & "RITFW" could have been taken from the Paris show
and "Long road", "Porch" and "Fatal" from the Marseille gig.

    Salut à tous !!
Still waiting for a gig in Paris (in a venue not a festival) since 2006...
    Spin, spin !!

    Marseille + Paris 2006
    London + Werchter 2007
    Arras + Belfast 2010
    Arras 2012
    Paris Lollapalooza 2022

I originally had both Long Road and Fatal in my selection, but they both got cut at the eleventh hour. Long Road was just missing out on its x factor, to my ears anyway - emotionally, it didn't seem as powerful as it can do.

I try not to include a song just to have it on there - I'm a bit of a performance geek.

Or maybe I'm just jealous I didn't get to see it in Italy ;-)

Shameless plug, I know, but my buddy just sent me the artwork for this set.

He did the cover for the new official Marah DVD!

Way to go again, Bruce :-)

But I have to make a few notices (cause I am doing something similar - compilation of bestperformed each song played in Europe 2006 - more than 100 songs!).

So...Black - from Milano definitely in...
Marseille - 0 songs?????? Many people says that it was maybe the best show on tour!!! I agree!
    Daughter - from Bologna... superb!
Release - opener in Verona.... fucking good!
Thin Air, Thumbing My Way from Zagreb... - very goood!
Baba O Riley -... from Reading... i am not so sure it was best performance! Listen Bologna - fantastic crowd singing and very good begining of the song (solo guitar part). Bologna is my choice!

That is the way I see it!:)

I was at Milan and, of course, Black was excellent. But I try and mix my sets up where I can, and the version from Denver II I put on my last comp was also superb - short, sweet, with Benmont Tench.

I originally had a couple of songs from Marseille that were going to make it. In short, Marseille is an overrated show in my opinion - great on paper, not so great for the actual performance.

Agreed on Daughter from Bologna (I went to all the Italian shows). I also liked the versions from Dublin and Lisbon II, if memory serves.

Release was good in Verona, but not as good as the one from San Francisco III on my last set. I generally find Thin Air to be quite boring, and the best Thumbing of the entire tour was from Cleveland.

You're right about Baba from Bologna - excellent version. That and Reading were definitely my favourites from Europe.
