    The Wild Card teams DESERVE to play a best of 3...
    Your entire season shouldnt come down to a 1 game playoff....

    I don't like the new format. You play 162 games to make it to the playoffs as a wild card team and then have your whole season come down to 1 game?
    I understand that it makes the regular season more exciting but to have your season rest on 1 game does not make sense to me.

    yeah when i first heard about the extra wild card team i thought they were gonna play 3 games vs the other wild card team, not just one game to determine who goes to the next round :thumbdown:

    I don't think the Yankees have the pitching to get to the Series. Their hitting usually dissapears in the playoffs.

    Unfortunately, the Cardinals just seem to hang around and hang around so they'll probably go to the Series.

    I hear you, but should the Divisional winners have to wait a week to start ther playoffs?

    I think it puts more emphasis on winning the Division. Make the Wild Cards earn the right to play in the DS.

    Plus, do you want the season to go to THANKSGIVING> :lol:

    No doubt! The 2011and 2012 post seasons have produced some of the best baseball games imaginable. Starting with last year's crazy wild card Wednesay (and the Cards were 10 1/2 games out in late September), then Game 6 of last year's WS, and now last night's wild Cards-Nats finish. Unbelievable.

    Walk off wins. 5 game series. Giants win 3 straight on the road. I know there are some people who think baseball is boring, but they must not be watching the playoffs.
