I worked my ass off bartending, waiting tables, working as a freelance writer, working for a landscaping company, and working at a hardware store to put myself through graduate school en route to a PhD.
I currently work two jobs: I teach at a university and I am a commodities trader on a part -time basis.
I am working on two books at the moment: one academic and one novel.
I volunteer at a church--food drives and clothing drives-- that is across the street from me, even though I am a proud agnostic and disagree with a lot of the church's views. I do it because people sometimes fall into hardship and need others to help them out. Sometimes people need a warm coat in the winter. Sometimes kids need clothes for school.
I believe if two men or two women love each other, then they should have the right to be married and be happy.
I believe in welfare when it helps the poor, especially children, and not when it is just for the benefit of corporations and the rich.
And I keep hearing from Ron Paul people that they want a 'revolution'? Way to elevate the political discourse with a link that would come up on facebook from my close minded, Republican facebook pals.

Maybe you guys can share a beer with this woman and talk about how much you have in common, I bet you have to pick up the tab though.
Obama's base also must support NDAA, of which includes provisions to indefinitely detain American citizens without charges or trial. A federal judge blocked that part from being allowed, but good ol' Barry sued to allow himself the ability to regain that provision.
Obama's base must also support the economic policies that will destroy us. The dollar loses more and more value each day, but that's ok because you volunteer at your church, GREAT!
The Senate just voted 81-10 to continue sending American tax dollars over to Egypt, Libya, and Pakistan. Nary a peep. Did ANY of you call your Senators? I did before and after the vote.
I could go on and on but there's no point. ALL ALL ALL of the things that you people bitched about Bush doing Obama is doing tenfold. Nary a peep. Hypocrites.
BTW Romney supports the same things, so yes there is a RP revolution underway, because we won't toe the party line. I've been booted out of my county GOP party because I refused to support Romney. Guess what, he can't win without us and we will be blamed for his loss in five weeks.
Peace.

Idiots and hypocrites on both sides. I'm voting for Gary Johnson because he most closely lines up with my beliefs. You should read "Why We're Dumb at Politics". Nails it on the head.

I won't be detained. I've read the bill, and I've read the lawsuits. And, I like Chris Hedges; I admire what he tries to do. But, I think we're getting a little Alex Jones-ish here.

As Michelle Tanner would say: "How wude!! Quite a condescending statement to fling in my direction.

I actually contact Schumer and Gillenbrand quite often. I am opposed tot his, but, unfortunately, sending federal aid won't go away anytime soon. If you think Ron Paul would end it as soon as he sets foot in office, I think you would be disappointed. And if you think Ron Paul would have had us out of Iraq and Afghanistan on day one of his presidency, you would be disappointed once again.

In your eyes, I am a hypocrite. Okay.....(proceeds to huddle in a corner and cry)
We will never be American as long as our primary descriptor of ourselves is based upon a political party's ideology and we see 50% of our citizens as 'The Enemy'.
