Vodafone today confirmed Pearl Jam where to headline Download Festival but then remove the post! Could this be a sick joke??

Maybe PJ are just finalizing the rest of the tour before releasing full details hence making Vodafone remove the post, (similar to IOW waiting for PJ to let them release details this year)??

I hope where all treated again next year, figures crossed

  • I would expect a US tour before a Euro Tour, since they just toured Europe. A few festival dates in the US isn't really a tour.
  • Hopefully not, Pearl Jam has played EU a lot lately and need to get to some places they havent played in a while. Like the Southern US. Hoping my friends down there get a some shows soon rather then just festivals on the east side of the country.

Tell me about it. They were just in Europe weeks ago. Now they are booking for more festival show's already for Europe? Seriously? Did PJ find a new tour bookie or someone who's totally obsessed to get Pearl Jam to play rapidly at as many Festival gigs as possible? If so, then why doesn't the bookie book PJ festival show's in Australia or in Asia where the band hasn't played in a while now? Ah ...

I am crossing fingers and toes for a real USA tour next year.
At the end of the show at MIA in Philly, Eddie said, see you next year Philly!
I hope he wasn't just referring to MIA but a real old fashioned show...even though MIA was much more than expected. :D
    peace,

I don't think a few EU festival shows with some headline gigs in between take away the possibilities of a US tour.

Yes please. It's been almost 10 years, guys. Traveling to DC and Atlanta for shows doesn't count. We need NC dates.

  • All very strange. This comes after Matt just said Soundgarden tour in Jan/Feb of 2013...So, SA Tour...Euro Tour..US tour? Very confusing.
