Scott and family at the Wildhorse always hold a few spots for people that just drive up with no reservations, if you go there early and were real nice I bet he would help you out, they are real nice people.

Foxy and I may stay saturday night at Gorge campgrounds, and Sunday night at Wildhorse, as the latter is booked solid for saturday.

Wildhorse grounds are roughly a mile, bit less, from the Gorge. 15min walk.

so does this mean wildhorse camping is considered preferable to gorge camping? Care to share why this might be the case as I have not been to either?
