Mamasan is probably drinking Scotch straight from the bottle!!! hehehehehehe
You have no idea how close i was to throwing my bottle straight at my TV. There may or may not, however, be a new hole in my wall.
Like most packer fans you probably have a tube tv..no harm done then!!

Funny thing about that. I've got 2 TV's next to each other - on the left the big old flat screen and on the right a tube that's at least 15 years old. There is already a bit of a hole in that one from a previous season when I threw a beer bottle at it during a game

I can't get over the hilarious image of two refs making completely different calls.
The replay is clear as day. Interception.
7/2/06 - Denver, CO
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2
Everyone is wondering if there will come a point when fans will stop watching games because of the refs. The replacement refs make me want to watch games I don't care about MORE, just to see the circus! It's fun to watch them have no control over the game. I was mad I missed the play last night because of my stupid family!
Easier said than done. Try living through 4 Super Bowl losses in a row and then talk to me. :fp:
Yeah. Maybe I take it too seriously, but I live and breathe football, it's my biggest passion outside of music and that's just how it is.
Halfpint you should make friends with Vikings fans
You have no idea how many remote controls I have broken. Thank goodness when I was in the Utica area with Adelphia cable and now in Smalbany with Time Warner they replace them with no questions asked. I think I broke my last one about a month ago during a Yankees game. I actually pay .50 a month extra a month to have two remotes.

Oh shit I'm laughing so hard!!! I mean, I get it and it sucks and I can't even imagine that kind of frustration...but the thought that you've got two remotes for potential breakdowns is quite hysterical!

Question... If a player isn't deemed to have possession until they hit the ground and maintain control, then does it matter that the Packers player got the ball first (he was in the air)?
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

This would be correct, but that would assume Tate also got control of the ball. All he managed to do was get one hand on the ball (after it was caught by another player) and keep one arm in the vicinity of the ball. He had more control of Jennings than he did the ball.
The NFL's statement on the game both upholds the game, and calls it bullshit at the same time, and sort of go off on a tangent. They never come out and say Tate achieved control, all they say about him is that he committed pass interference on Sam Shields while the ball was in the air, which should have ended the game, but pass interference is not reviewable. They do not mention the actual source of controversy, if there was any way to defend it they would.
Here's the statement....
In Monday's game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, Seattle faced a 4th-and-10 from the Green Bay 24 with eight seconds remaining in the game. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw a pass into the end zone.
Several players, including Seattle wide receiver Golden Tate and Green Bay safety M.D. Jennings, jumped into the air in an attempt to catch the ball.
While the ball is in the air, Tate can be seen shoving Green Bay cornerback Sam Shields to the ground. This should have been a penalty for offensive pass interference, which would have ended the game. It was not called and is not reviewable in instant replay.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but it came out today that the line judge that made the touchdown call (but I guess can't be blamed for what went on in the booth) is not EVEN a Division 3, the guy has no college or professional experience. He works at Wells Fargo and is a part-time high school referee.
I don't know if that really matters. A D3 ref or even an NFL ref could have made a bad call, but a high school ref? It just seems like they were snagging people up off the street.
