Ok, by now everyone has heard about this show. Apart from the fact that SOME people are not U2 fans, there are some of us that are, and we are going to go and support both bands.

Just wondering who is going to make the trip, and where are you coming from? Have you got a ticket? If not, where are you getting it from, ie: TM or eBay?

I'm coming from Melbourne, just after seeing PJ twice and U2 in Melbourne. I got my (expensive) ticket off eBay, but I might try and get another off TM. And I have secured a room for Dec 6-10, when I leave. It's going to be crazy busy in Hawaii that weekend: the concert (perhaps more than one show from each band), the Hawaii marathon, Pearl Harbor anniversary weekend. Hope you get be there and enjoy it!

    Hey Dean!
    I'll be going to the show. Huge U2 and PJ fan. My wife and I will be in Hawaii Dec. 5-12th. Going to the Big island from the 5th-8th. I am looking for 2 U2 tickets still. Hoping I get them from TM next week, or a fan with a few spairs.

    Cool, it'll be a great trip. Not sure how long it will take you to get to Hawaii, but have a great trip.

    They are a great bunch of folks, and have been waiting for the U2 show to be rescheduled since April as well. They have a section about tickets, so you might be able to find some there. I think Ticketmaster will be brought to its knees on the 5th! I have to be up at 5 am to look for tickets. I have a GA one, but want to see if I can get a "seat".

    I also checked at the Zoo. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    I gotta figure out how to PAY for the trip itself. damn. haha.

    No not yet. I am waiting cause I've heard PJ is gonna announce a show of their own, plus I heard U2 is announcing a second show. Need to confirm those dates so I know when to fly down and then back home.

    Also need to figure out if there is any way I can afford to go in the first place.

    Where did you hear about PJ doing their own show there? I just got my tix today from Ticketbastard. I am planing on going from the 7th to the 12th. Hopefully the shows will be close together.

    I was able to get tickets on ticketbastards yesterday, which made me the happiest gal in the whole USA. My 2 favorite bands, in my favorite place in the world, and on my birthday!! I figured it was destiny.

    I still haven't booked my flight cause I'm hoping for word of a PJ show somewhere the week before or after. Any thoughts anyone on which it would be? It seems like PJ tends to like to do warmup shows, and I think they might not want to rain on the post show glow of U2, so I'm leaning towards going out the weekend before, Dec 2nd to the 11th.

    Any words of wisdom ?

    btw, when they come in the mail I expect to have 4 extra tickets for seats together in section LL, row 40 (Blue). While I was grabbing these my hubby managed to get two a bit closer, so I won't need these. Will sell for face value (with TM fees) if anyone is interested.     i'll be there!!!!!!!!! all the way from Dallas, Texas,....been waiting for this show for over half a year...by the time it gets here almost a full year.

    gonna be the greatest show i'll ever see in my life, hands down. can't imagine it getting any better for me...ever

    Ill be going from dec 5th to dec 10th. My girlfriend and i are huge Pearl Jam fans and U2 fans, so we know itll be an awesome show. Were comin from salt Lake city, I saw them 5 times on the avocado tour and cant wait til december 9th, i already have a countdown on my myspace page.     Hell yeah I'll be there. Coming from Boston. Two favorite bands!

    I head out 12/8 and back to Boston on 12/17. Three nights at Hyatt Waikiki Resort, three nights Kauai, three nights Maui. Very excited.

    Where is everyone staying??

    Just bought my plane ticket yesterday on SWA... $338 OAK to HNL.. that is the best fare I have ever seen... I can't wait... I am going the 7-10- unless PJ announces their own show...(my source says very doubtful) and staying at the Hilton Hawaiian village...anyone else know where they are staying?? Where are the pre parties???

    My friends and I got tickets from ticketmaster and we will be going to Honolulu for 6 days and 5 nights! I will be going from NJ, the others from Boston. I have never been to Hawaii and it has always been a dream of mine so I am ridiculously excited. My favorite band opened for one of the most classic bands of all time in one of the most beautiful locations on Earth. How can you go wrong?!?!

    P.S. - Funny story about the tix...My friend dropped the idea of going on me on a fri night and the tix went on sale on sat. He said, "they go on sale at 9am so i'll call you and wake you up and we'll both try to get tix." So i said okay and he woke me up the next day. At 9am, we couldn't figure out why tickets weren't available yet. Then he realized the tix went on sale 9am HST. It was 3am there, haha. I went back to bed and we ended up getting the tix...around 3pm EST, haha.

    I have 1 pair of orange section H row 17 - total is $370 including TM fees and 1 pair of blue section J row 46 - total is $225 also including TM fees.

    Should be a great trip, can't wait. My girlfriend and I are flying in from New York, haven't been to HI in years. Anyway, I found tickets on stubhub and we already got them in the mail. They have quite a few on there still.

    Were staying in Wiakki but thinking about camping out Friday night instead of going back. Anyone know anything about local laws governing that?
