Obama said Vedder’s story captured “what this country is about.”

Wonder if Obama watched Pearl Jam Twenty...

  • I will not support Obama or Romney. Kind of upsets me that Eddie bashed Bush(glad he did) and wrote an album about asshole presidents like Bush but yet Obama still drops bombs on innocents and even detaining American citizens for using their 1st amendment right and yet he turns a blind eye. I just wish Eddie would realize that government is out of control and that we need a third party(remember he supported Ralph Nader). I understand that Obama has some good ideas on certain issues but his attack on the first and second amendment is unamerican. Romney is out of touch with 47% and will keep the war tain running too. We need both parties of these criminal politicians to work together for the people. The people on the left are too radical and the people on the right are too radical, we need a happy medium. I wish Eddie could see that the current politicians running for president are so deeply corrupted that he would support a third party again, or run himself.

Seriously, if we are looking to a rock singer for advice on whom we should vote for then we have serious problems neither of those corrupt and murderous parties can fix.

Never looking for rock singer for advice obviously, I just miss the patriot vedder that stood for thinking for yourself. Obviously his person/political views will NEVER deter or waiver my love for this band, politicians are not our friends right now if we don't get them to work together for the sake of its people. Was kidding on Ed running too  know your rights! ;)

Well said and I agree with everything exept I think EV clearly knows this to but wants to believe that obama is at least the lesser of the only 2 evils we have to choose from and that the system is and was never set up for a 3rd party to truly have a chance.

Sounds like Ed is still a patriot and still thinks for himself, his family, his country, and a lot of other things that not everyone can get behind or agree with. One of many things I like about Pearl Jam is their commitment to a cause that is not based on whatever will make them most popular.

Exactly right. At times, the way this country runs elections, we have one more political party choice than what the Soviet Union had. I just see more criminal activities being perpetrated by the political parties instead of just taking care of the business.

I might be hated by some on here, but I own a gun and enjoy going to the shooting range on occasion. An executive order coming up soon by Obama will give him power to shut down the internet, I am never for censorship of any kind.
