Who would be on the bill?

Mine would have to be:

Opening: The Tragically Hip (13:00- 14:30)

Second Act: Jack White/ Raconteurs (15:00-16:30)

Third: Foo Fighters (17:00-19:30)

Closed out by: Pearl Jam (20:00-23:00)

What would be yours?

  • Id go to that show. I ve always thought the hip and pearl jam on the same bill would be a great way to spend a day. Throw in some tom petty and get the smalls together and you got yourself a big time rock and roll show.

Two stages would take care of the short intervals between bands. Some guest appearances; Stone & Jeff with Mudhoney doing Green River songs, Chris Cornell with PJ for TOTD since I missed PJ20. Mark Lanegan, Nick Olivieri and Dave Grohl reunited for a few QOTSA songs. Ed with Nick Cave for The Ship Song and with Mark Lanegan on One Hundred Days. Mudhoney with Kim Gordon & Thurston Moore for Touch Me I'm Sick. Thom Yorke and Sigur Ros on the same stage just because! Oh, and of course Cluthe/Lee with Radiohead playing Nude just to make Matt smile like never before!! ;) Enjoy! :D

    Cluthe/Lee ( 11:30 - 12:15)

Creature With The Atom Brain (12:30 - 13:15)

    Mudhoney (13:30 - 14:30)

    Sonic Youth (14:45 - 15:45)

    Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (16:00 - 17:15)

    Mark Lanegan (17:30 - 18:45)

    Pearl Jam (19:00 - 21:15)

Queens Of The Stone Age (21:30 - 23:30)

    The Black Crowes (23:45 - 01:15)

    Sigur Ros (01:30 - 03:30)
Like a book among the many on a shelf...

I'm too lazy to put in times..

    Smashing Pumpkins
    RHCP
    Stone Temple Pilots
    AIC
    Tom Petty
Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band
    Pete & Roger
    Foo Fighters
    Soundgarden
    Pearl Jam
    Metallica

Obviously I should probably have PJ headline. It's been in my experience that it's a bad idea to have a heavier preceed a less heavy band. IE if PJ played after Metallica, they might seem a bit mellow. (Iike the time i saw the Foo's open for RHCP).

Ha ha, very funny... And the only reason I didn't pick the Killers is because I didn't feel they would fit that concert...but yes, ultimately I would love to have them in the bunch!

Then I guess my name would be Perry Farrell

  • I have been thinking about my own lineup for a few days, and I saw there was already a thread, here it goes

    Two days:
    First night
    Headliner: Kenny Chesney
    First stage:
    Mumford & Sons
    Glen Hansard
    Lumineers
    Luke Bryan
    second stage:
    Deer tick
    Jo Dee Messina
    Immagine Dragons

    2nd night:
    Headliner: Pearl Jam
    Of Monsters of Men
    Black Keys
    Jason Aldean
    The Band Perry
    2nd Stage:
    Alabama Shakes
    Passion Pit
    Young the Giant

So fine, I really like country, too bad, get over it. I tried to mix the same amount of country w/ rock , kind of like how Jayz did it w/ rap and rock.
  • Matt Cameron is going to be sooooo tired after some of these festivals.

I'm down! That would be an amazing fest right there. Would make a few changes of course, but I fully agree with the bolded. I would also throw in Allman Brothers, The Revivalists, Macklemore, Zac Brown Band, WSMFP, JJ Grey and Mofro, Heartless Bastards, some form of Jack White (Solo, or Raconteurs), Roster McCabe.
