2 Questions...Is it weird that...

a)Tim Pawlenty has quit as Mitt Romney's co-chair of Presidential campaign today, a mere 7 weeks before the election? He left to become a lobbyist for Wall Street - the same Wall Street he blasted when he was running during the primaries
b)Is it just me, or is it just in San Diego, this is the first election I remember where there is almost a complete absence of support (bumper stickers, front yard signs, telephone pole/office posters) for anyone this close to an election?
Thoughts?

San Diego has been returned to mexico, no one can vote so they don;t care.

As for #1 - it is really strange. Not a good thing for the Mitt campaign.

  • No and no.

1 happens more often than you realize (maybe not 7 weeks, but it does happen). He got a job that probably wouldn't wait, so he took it. In 7 weeks, he's out of a job either way, so why look a gift horse....

And 2 is because California is not considered a "battle ground" state, so very little time has been spent there on grass roots efforts where those things tend to come from. Now, my guess is there is not a complete absence of those things you speak of. But, it probably is few and far considering what is thought of the election possibilities for the state in general.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
  • 1) It is strange... but that campaign has been run so awkwardly, nothing is surprising.
    2) I live in the Albany, NY area, and even though this state will always go democratic, in 2008, I saw a lot of support for Obama, and even some decent support for McCain. This time around, I haven't really seen anything for either Obama or Mitt, just some signs for state/local candidates.

    1) doesn't surprise me,when you get that high up the food chain everything is fare game.

    2) I've noticed that too in San Diego it is kind of odd, but the cool thing this time is that I have noticed more Romney stuff and not so much Obama stuff but really not much of either over all.

    1. Pawlenty is one in a long line to whore themselves out to Wall St.

    2. I'm in upstate NY and have seen more Obama signs/bumper stickers, etc than Romney signs. People are just fed up with politics, so I think there will be less visible support shown.
  • It's weird that hi's campaign has basically put Romney under a rock at this point in a presidential campaign you don't do fund raisers he has enough money ...He should be ground stomping and getting hi's message out to the potential voters what ever that message is :? ...
