I'm shaking my head at this one.
Common sense, City of Philadelphia! I hope "may sue" turns into "decided not to sue".
And good on this man. As someone said in the comments below the article, we need more like him!0 -
I think if the city doesn't decide to "Call this one even" they are going to take quite a bit of heat.0

I wonder if the vacant lot was acting as a dump sight for city workers. In an essence they were saving on dump fees and costs by hiding the 40 tons of garbage in plain site. Now this guy comes along and takes away their make-shift dump sight and now they want to sue. That's the only reason I can think of them wanting to sue.
Yes it's there property and they can still do whatever they want with it, but before they had to clear out 40 tons of trash now they have to clear out 40 tons of building materials. This guy created no extra burden on the lot.0 -

Fucking FOR ***REAL*** ???
GET OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

THA
FUCK?
Brotherly love?
Get fucked.

PS. I know it's probably not allowed,
but:Ori Feibush says he visited the local offices of the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority four times, sent in seven written requests and made 24 phone calls to the agency asking them to take care of a major eyesore: an empty lot next to his coffee shop was home to more than 40 tons of debris.
Not only did the agency fail to act but it also denied Feibush's offer to clean up the mess himself.
I would fucking counter sue for negligence\ dereliction of duty. or SOMETHING.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -
