How can you argue with that after the last two nights? It's impossible. This really is their place.

any theories on where all this boston love came from?? i mean, the crowds are just plain nuts every time but still i think there might be a deeper reason for such love. remember the experiment in 2003? they could have just tried that somewhere else, (nyc comes to mind) but they chose boston.

I wanted to ask your girlfriend, but you guys disappeared so quickly after the show ended--did she make that shirt she wore to Wednesday night's show? I really liked it!

  • Personally, I think the whole argument is silly. I've seen them 2 nights in a row in camden (2003) MSG (2003) and Boston (2004). The Philly crowd was mostly wasted, obnoxious people, who thought it was cool to stand wherever they wanted. Especially directly in front of people who were in their own seats. The Boston shows were great, (preset both nights, acoustic encores)but I didn't think the crowd was anything special. Alone and I've Got A Feeling were met with "Huh?" by most people around me. I think MSG had the best "Crowds" Maybe because it was almost all 10Clubbers.

  • Well, that goes without saying. I just can't stand listening to Boston proclaim themselves PJ's favorite city. The city has such an inferiority complex. I love the whole yankees such chants, and how they break out everywhere. If the Yankees suck so bad, how come the Great Red Sox can't wrest the division crown from their grip? Wouldn't it make the Sox even suckier since they lost the division to the sucky yankees 8 years in a row? Isn't it embarrassing watching a team celebrate a Wild Card?

    We're # 2! We're # 2! We're # 2! We're # 2!

  • I'll take 4 WS wins in 5 years over a 4 game winning streak. I can honestly say I was not that surprised in 2003. I remember talking to a friend after Game 3. We were both saying we hope the yankees end it tonight, sweep them and don't give them hope. Any team can win 4 in a row. Winning Game 4 means there is a Game 5. Winning game 5 means there is a game 6, which would lead to a tie in the series if the Sox won. And anything can happen in a Game 7. It may sound simplistic, but's exactly how the conversation went. End it in game 4, don't give them a chance

Ed has said twice now at least, 2000 night 1 and night 1 the other day that Boston had the livliest or best crowd. BUT I noticed over the years a lot of hardcore fans, but there are still kids as I call them, who sing Jeremy etc, and don't recognize NAIS,
Sleight of Hand, hell I looked around and noted people silent for SOLAT. If they still scream but don't know all the songs does that make them part of the BEST or livliest audience?

It would seem to me that you get this in each city but PJ def has put on some great shows here, there is no doubt. Whether this is PJ's second home is always open for debate because I think Philly had or has the most album sales and of course there is NY.

NONETHELESS...Let's hope for MANY MORE YEARS OF PJ playing here and WORLDWIDE!

first off... yankees suck chants are dumb... inside fenway it's not bad... anywhere else... stupid

    but that being said

"Any team can win 4 in a row"?

Ok so explain to me then why this was the first time someone has come back from being down 0-3?

    GREATEST CHOKE IN SPORTS HISTORY

you fucked up and didn't come to the boston shows... get over it
    Don't Believe Everything You Think
  • I would have loved to come to the boston shows, or anywhere else. A 2 month old means overnight stays are out for this tour. Given 1 choice of venue for this tour, I'd have passed on Boston (hit Boston in 2004) and flown out to George, Washington. Or maybe LA. On this side of the country, I would have gone to pittsburgh, if the Pirates were in town. that's the ballpark I want to visit the most.

I'd say Boston was the 1st to do it becaue most teams give up when down 3-0. Boston didn't. I said the day after game 3 that any team can win 4 in a row. You just have to ignore that you're down 3-0, and take it 1 game at a time. Esp. since the yanks and Sox were so evenly matched over 2003 and 2004. Weren't they like 26 and 26 against each other, including postseasons those 2 years? What can I say, I'm a firm believer in "It's not over 'til it's over" I watch football games and get mad when teams are doiwn 28 in the 4th quarter and run the ball. maybe I'm an eternal optimist, maybe I'm an idiot.
