Abstract lyrics dream

Had an odd dream last night. Rarely dream about PJ, but dreamt I was talking to Ed and I was mentioning to him, does the band ever tell you to be more direct with your lyrics and not to be so obscure and abstract with it all? He replied that did happen alot. Whats strange beyond this encounter is that of course Ed's lyrics really arent abstract. They are pretty direct. Whether he's talking about his own life, or making some sort of political statement he's always been direct with it all.
